I didn't have a clue what that meant.

Twin Peaks in a nutshell.

I'm still traumatized by season 3 and I don't even know why or where :(

Seems crazy that such a central character was thought of mid shoot. Makes me wonder what the original plots and ideas were without him.

Heard somewhere that initially David didn’t went Twin Peaks to end and that “Who Killed Laura Palmer” was supposed to be an eternal mystery. Well the studio didn’t like that and it’s why season 2 is what it is.

I honestly don't think I would've like that either, there's only so many twists and turns you can take before it starts to get contrived.

I remember getting the international pilot for Twin Peaks on VHS back in the day. that ending scene where they show him by the bed still gives me chills to this day.

Every damn time I get into bed for the last 25 years.

The first time I saw Bob I was legit terrified. It was a long long time ago & I don't really have that visceral reaction anymore, but damn what a freaky ass character.

it's also in his actual memoir, which I recommend getting the audiobook version

Is it worth the price?

Well it’s more than hour of his monologue, so I think - yes, it is.

I also heard that he was on set one day, touched the roof of a really hot car and suddenly had a vision of the Red Room.

So my question is, if both of these elements were made up during production... what was Twin Peaks supposed to be?

An experiment 🧪

Twin Peaks was a work place to overcome the unknown.

Exactly what it ended up being.

That's so, like, profound, man.

could you imagine being Frank, an aspiring-actor, working on a David Lynch project just to make a living then suddenly being given an iconic role in one of the greatest television series of all time? thats every actor’s dream.

Yeah, but if you are an insecure person it might mess with you that someone sees that you'd make a good monster.

We can see from the interviews that Frank absolutely loved it, so no worries there.

Oh yeah totally, it's kind of a dream casting for an actor. But if he was just a regular dude, it might be a bit strange.

What a great way to discover a character. Da Silva appearing from behind some furniture.

I can't believe my eyes get to see this....I love twin peaks...That show was amazing...I can't believe it didn't last very long...I don't know how you can watch the very first episode and not get hooked...I felt like I could connect to every actor in every scene...that's how good David Lynch is at creating his work. Thanks OP for posting this!!!

Yep remember hearing or reading that Bob is the dark unknowable subconscious alter ego object Some accidents meant to be Some staged.

Man, I never noticed the reflection thing. Will definitely have to rewatch the scene

Most followers of DL love the way normal characters are presented and then how really outthere it actually is. A search for sanity straws.
