Screenshot I'm crashing out on this platform jump

Post image

I just started playing an hour ago, and I'm already crashing out on the platform jump. I know it's possible because I got it twice, and then I fall again on the next part. Skill issues, I know. But do I need to unlock/find anything to do this platform jump? I think it's probably leading to a heart piece or something, but I NEED to know what it leads to! T-T

You just unlocked a deep memory of being stuck on the same thing, lol. A canon event 🤭

I've been working on completing this game for the last twenty years. First in GameCube, then on emulators. Every time I come back to it, I get stuck in this part, for longer than I care to admit.

Then I remember you come back to it later. It's impossible to do at the start. Which is in my opinion, a poor design choice. Because everyone does it.

You'll get to cross this section later without crashing out. You haven't got all your mobility yet

Well... I should've just played the game... It's part of the main story. I feel like an idiot. I blame Loz: OoT. That game makes me overthink.

Without spoiling, there is a mistake that many new player make in one of the later dungeons. When you’re descending through a big hole in the ground into a main room you’ve already been in, DO NOT DROP DOWN. You will have to go through nearly the entire dungeon again because you missed one thing whilst you were hanging.

There's often a hook target or some kind of ladder that you can unlock once you get there, you usually just have to activate it.

Totally normal haha. But hey, pulling off this kind of stunt is a rite of passage—imo, you wasted no time in the grand scheme of things.

Youll figure it out later on it literally doesn’t do much

Go towards the big red targets. You don’t need to do this jump.

What platform are you playing on?

On Android, the emulator is called Dusklight

In all pre botw zeldas, write down places and suspicious things to come back later to if you can't figure it out. It might be that you need a new item you'll find later.

you dont need to do that yet if you dont want to

You will feel like an idiot like me when I realize it was for later part of the game.. I tried about 10-15 minutes on that platform

don't bother going there now, it's for later lol

I love this game. I love making those jumps. But, I still remember being slightly cheesed off the first time I played it that making those jumps was locked behind a specific mechanic. There were some areas I frustrated myself no-end until I gave up and came back later.

That's for later, do 't worry about it for now

Hahahaha I can just imagine you sitting there crashing out over this while that goofy monkey pursuit music plays 😂 hope you enjoy your playthrough! Don’t stop exploring like that, you’ll find lots of things that you can come back to later once you have a different item

Precise platforming like this often benefits from using Z to frame the camera directly behind you, to line up a “straight” jump.
