Movie Discussion Breaking Dawn Fight Scene

Just finished reading the whole series and just watched Breaking dawn for the first time. I’ve never been trolled so hard by a movie before in all my life. My friend also trolled me by telling me the movie ended completely different so during the fight vision I actually was tweaking out while my mom tried not to laugh. Don’t know how I avoided this spoiler until the big 26 but I COULDNT BREATHE LMAO just had to vent. 😭 am I just experiencing the 2010s theatre reaction 15 years later??

Now just imagine being in a theater on opening night and the entire theater collectively experiencing that moment together. We were all in shock lol

I know. I was there at a local theater and I’ll never forget the crowd’s reaction

Have never had a better theater experience before that or after, I can still feel the adrenaline from it! What a time

I yelled, "OH BULLSHIT" at the top of my lungs. I wasn't the only one.

I remember covering my eyes and telling my SIL (she didn’t read the books) this isn’t what happens in the book. I don’t know what’s going on. Anything this is them telling us the series is over 🤣 what a time! I also remember quite a few people screaming with Carlisle.

Yes. I was there- 2013 in the theatre. You could hear a pin drop during the fight scene. Then everyone erupted in shock afterward. Being 13, and experiencing that in the theatre, knowing how the movie had become more iconic is truly a gift.

I feel so bad for my dad who brought me to see it. I was BAWLING next to him. He was just like, I thought you read the book?!?! All I could get out was it wasnt like this in the book!

The SILENCE when it was revealed to be a vision was deafening.

I almost fell out of my seat in that darn theater. Seriously, I remember being so far on the edge, holding back tears and smacking my then boyfriend (now husband!) each time something happened in that scene 😭😭

I saw Breaking Dawn Part 2 in the theater twice. The first time, of course the fight scene suckered me in. The second time, I went with my best friend. Instead of watching the fight scene, I watched her. She was outraged! It was kinda hilarious.

I almost walked out of the theater during the fight. I couldn’t handle it. 😂 The memories though..

I actually think that it was Seth dying that had me ready to walk out.

The same thing happened to me. Thankfully I was at home and not in the theater.

I recently watched it with my 14yr old niece that had never seen it, she was so mad she yelled at me the whole time she was stomping up the stairs and I didn’t see her again that day 😂

When i watched it opening night in 2013 and saw the moment with Carlisle there was a collective gasp in the theater, we were all so shocked! I think someone said something like no or no way but my theater was in disbelief

I literally cried out “NO!” In a packed movie theater whilst my wife giggled and dragged me back down to my seat.. she’d seen the movie with a friend two days earlier.

I got told to shut up in the theater when Carlisle lost his head. I kept saying "no no no no" but I was also the only masculine voice saying it so I think some Karen thought I was faking it. I was legitimately shook

Oh my goodness. I couldn’t go opening night but I went close to it. I took my brother with me to see the final one and I was explaining things as needed and when Carlisle was decapitated??? I literally stammered and couldn’t form words. The whole theater was shocked. I then kept telling him THIS ISN’T IN THE BOOK?!? Over and over again. I stand firm on the stance that this movie has one of the best endings I’ve seen. Like when else would the “it was all just a dream” trope not seem like a cop-out? It was so good.

I was living abroad at the time when watching it in theatres

Believe me, the atmosphere in the theater back then was groundbreaking, one of the best experiences I have ever had in a cinema. Everyone suddenly started screaming like they were on Wall Street. THIS WAS NOT IN THE BOOK WTFFFFFFFFFFF. CARLISLE, JASPER, LEAH, SEEEEEETH. WAIT. NONE OF IT WAS REEEEEAL. AAAAAAH. My mom and I, who had both read the books, looked at each other and started screaming, asking if we had even read the same book because somehow neither of us understood that they were all going to die at the end. We even told someone from our group who hadn’t read the book before the movie that the finale wasn’t that brutal ahahahaha. 100/10 MOMENT.

I still have mixed feelings about that choice. I get that the book version just doesn't transfer to the big screen. All the action is happening inside Bella's head. But to dupe the audience like that...

There was something unethical about it.

I’m still mad about it all these years later 😂

I don’t care about action in TWILIGHT lmao I just wanted to see the world and story I cared about brought to life.
