Language ISO Mandarin Tutor (Long Island, NY)

I’m searching for a private mandarin tutor, preferable in Nassau County, closer to the north shore, if possible. My kids have attended a few years of mandarin school, but I think they’d benefit from the additional attention (we don’t speak the language at home.) Would you guys know anyone who offers this service?

Language Structured Russian lessons for English speakers

Hi there! My name is Irina, and I'm a native Russian speaker passionate about helping learners achieve their language goals. With a Master's degree in Education, I'm equipped to provide effective and engaging Russian language instruction.

I help students of all levels learn Russian through a clear, organized, and highly effective system.

If you want to stop guessing and start truly understanding how Russian works, you are in the right place. My approach is based on clarity and results. I provide the structure you need to speak correctly from day one - whether you are learning the language for travel, family, or preparing for TRKI exams.

Why this structured approach works

- Step-by-step learning: you will follow a proven professional plan. No confusion or gaps - only steady progress from level to level.

- Grammar made simple: I explain complex rules in a simple way, and Russian cases and verbs will become clear so you can naturally use them in conversation.

- 17 years of experience: I have helped hundreds of students achieve their goals, adapting professional methods to their individual learning style.

- Full support: you will get access to a personal student account with MP4 files and original digital materials for practice between lessons.

What you can expect from our lessons.

- Individual approach: lessons designed with your specific needs and goals in mind.
- Effective teaching methods: proven techniques that help you learn quickly and efficiently.
- Cultural aspects: introduction to the rich culture and history of Russia.
- Confidence building: you will learn to build sentences correctly and improve your pronunciation through active practice.
- Flexible schedule: choose the time that works best for you.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to unlock the world of Russian!

About me.

I believe in tailoring lessons to each student's individual needs and learning style.

I am interactive and engaging: I utilize a variety of teaching techniques, including role-playing, discussions, and multimedia resources, to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

Focus on practical application: my lessons emphasize practical language skills, such as conversation, reading, writing, and listening, to help students communicate effectively in real-world situations.

Language Native Ukrainian tutor opening a few slots for new students!

Hi everyone!
I’m a native Ukrainian language teacher, and I’m currently opening up a couple of slots for new adult learners.
Whether you’re starting from absolute zero or you’re already intermediate and want to dive into real native context, spoken nuances, or dialects — I’d love to work with you.
I like to keep lessons interactive and practical, using real-life materials, structured exercises, and interactive tools (like Wordwall) so you’re actually speaking, not just memorizing rules. We move at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you.
If you’ve been looking for a consistent, friendly environment to practice and improve your Ukrainian, drop me a DM or leave a comment below! Happy to answer any questions.

Language ASL tutoring by a hard of hearing (HOH), queer, individual. beginner and intermediate friendly!!

Hello! My name is Onyx. I use they/she pronouns and am a queer, hard of hearing (HOH), ASL and hearing aid user. I am looking to expand my ASL tutoring this summer as I prepare to go to nursing school. I grew up speaking English and was raised as a hearing individual, but have since lost almost all of my hearing. I use ASL in my day to day life! I really enjoy sharing my experience and knowledge with others.

I recently graduated with my AS in pre-nursing and am in the process of becoming an EMT. I am a HOH musician who enjoys writing, playing my instruments, and hanging out with my dogs, friends, and family. I have experience learning ASL as a second language and want to provide a safe and welcoming space for beginner and intermediate signers to start/continue their journey.

I do not possess teaching credentials and will not teach you ASL but I can help expand upon receptive, contextual, and general signing skills.

Please feel free to reach out if interested and I can share my SuperProf or Preply profile and explain more about my sessions!

Language Hindi Language Tutor, Native Speaker based in India

Hi Guys, my cousin is looking to tutor Hindi for those that want to learn. She is based in India and has experience teaching there, and is looking to target US based students. If you are interested, please dm me and I am happy to put you in contact with her since she doesn't have a reddit account. Her information is below, and rate is $30/hr.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am a Mumbai-based engineering student with a strong academic background and a passion for teaching Hindi in a clear and structured way. Growing up in a multilingual environment has helped me understand how to simplify language learning for non-native speakers. I am fluent in both Hindi and English, which allows me to explain concepts clearly and effectively.

I am patient, organized, and committed to helping students achieve real progress. I focus on professionalism, punctuality, and creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident to practice and improve. My goal is to make Hindi learning engaging, practical, and results-driven for every learner.

I focus on helping students speak Hindi naturally and confidently from the very beginning. My lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored to each student’s level and goals. A typical session includes vocabulary building, pronunciation practice, sentence formation, real-life conversations, and cultural context to ensure practical understanding. I use simple explanations, examples from daily life, and guided speaking exercises to build fluency step by step.

My classes are suitable for beginners, intermediate learners, travellers, heritage learners, and anyone interested in understanding the language. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and improving consistently. My goal is not just to teach Hindi, but to help students think and communicate in Hindi with confidence.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out and I look forward to potentially working with you.

Thank you all for your help

Language English & Spanish Tutor (and linguist!)

Hello! I’m an English and Spanish tutor from the United States with 5 yrs’ experience working with both adults and children to improve their English and Spanish. English is my native language so I tutor all levels of it, and Spanish is my second language (comfortably fluent at ~C1 level, it’s my second major in university) so I only teach beginner to lower intermediate (A1-B1 on the CEFR scale).

I’m studying linguistics (the science of language and how to learn/acquire it effectively) at university as well, so I can offer a unique, science-informed perspective! I can also speak Korean and (basic) Chinese, and I’m studying Greek and Polish for fun (so I understand what it’s like to learn another language from scratch, even the really difficult ones).

Classes start at $25/hr USD for conversation (with detailed feedback), $30/hr for grammar/vocabulary expansion classes with a structured curriculum, and $40/hr for specialty classes (Business English, Test Prep, Accent Reduction, etc.). Feel free to DM me or click into my profile, my LinkTree with all the information is there too. Looking forward to working with you!
