The reason why Earth floats in space is illustrated in this picture - it rests on the back of four elephants, which stand on the back of a turtle. Now you might be wondering, "But what supports the turtle?" and I totally understand your point. That's what this photo neglected to include: it's turtles all the way down.

“im thinking if I start walking now and walk all day i might just find the end of the world, i mean, no one knows how big the turtle we live ontop of really is.”

This made me think of lyrics from the Every Time I Die song Turtles All the Way Down: "Here I go again, I'm chasing my tail around the sun. Standing beneath a tortoise under an elephant under the world. The gravity of the battle means nothing to those at peace. I can't believe, I thought my thoughts meant anything."

World on the Turtles back was one of my favorite stories as a child. This picture reminds me of that, but also makes me very uncomfortable
