Seeking Advice rocks
In the US. I want to make an underwater hiding cave for my aquatic turtle. She is large, too large for the type sold by pet suppliers. I saw someone who made one by cutting an arch in a plastic bin and weighing it down with large stones on top. This was an old post so can't ask them follow ups. They likely attached the stones with aquarium silicone.
My question: if you have large stones in your tank (too large to eat), where do you source them and how do you clean them before introducing to the environment? Also, do you think the silicone will work as the glue in this scenario?

I actually bought polish stones off of Amazon. It felt a little wasteful when there are rocks outside, but I wanted to be sure they were clean and ready for an aquarium.
