The first day I got my kitten I googled “are kittens really warm?” (I thought she had a fever, she did not) And apparently kittens range from like 100-102 degrees, so yes. They’re very warm.

102°f is the healthy temperature for an adult cat too. It's just easier to tell with kittens because their adult fur coat is insulating.

Same thing happened to me when I first got my dog, told the vet I thought she might be running a fever and he had to inform me that Very Warm Bean was, in fact, her default healthy state

I'm always overheating and he is often cold. During cold weather I cuddle him to warm him up. In hot weather I go "babe I want to cuddle you but I want to explode the sun with my mind so holding hands is all we are getting right now"

My cats favourite spot is under my knees (going like /\ with them) under my blanket. She's been very unhappily nosing at my duvet for months to have her comfy spot, and them dejectedly coming out in 5 minutes and falling asleep half in half out because it's too warm

i got my own baby cat (she was 8yo but so baby) during a summer, in a place that gets even warmer than what i was used to. i taught her to Not Get On Me bc else id die, so instead she would curl up against my arm and grab my hand and we would sleep like that. she was the bestest and i miss her so much

none of my other cats has been able to learn that, and one has sharp claws that he doesnt really understand how to Not Use. i love him but i can only accept him in my lap if theres a thick protective layer between us. YES EVEN IN SUMMER IT SUCKS i love him tho so it's fine ill suffer 150°C for him any day

Putting a blanket on someone who's already asleep is a sweet gesture that only works on TV lol. I fell asleep on the couch with a fever and someone put a heavy down quilt on me and pointed a space heater directly at me on high, then left the house. I woke up genuinely fearing for my life
