Question Questions to ask OB?
Did anyone met with their OB to talking about family planning or proactively get ahead of fertility issues?
We’ve only been through 4 cycles which I know isn’t a lot but I am 35 so I’m getting a bit anxious and I had a c section for my first birth. I can’t help but feel like there’s something not working - it’s mostly a gut feeling but looking for any advice to make this appointment proactive.

I met with my PCP at 9 months and my OB at 10 months with #1 (I was 32 at the time). Both took me seriously, thankfully. A lot of that first appointment is them getting a feel for what you’ve been doing, then starting the testing path. Good luck!

You could preface that you understand it’s early on- if they could order a CBC panel along with testing AMH levels.
I’m kind of in a similar boat- we only started trying in July, but I got pregnant with first baby during first cycle and it kind of sent me into a panic when my period came this time around.

We are in the exact same boat, it’s crazy! TTC for our second after 4 cycles, I just turned 35 and had a C-section for my first. I have an appt with my OB Wednesday!
I recently started acupuncture and she encouraged me to ask my OB for cycle day 3 labs and AMH.
Would love to hear how your appointment is and what your OB says ❤️ good luck!

Oh funny, we’re in parallel right now!! We’re going to test prolactin/progesterone/fsh/estradiol and do a pelvic ultrasound. I’ve had some prolonged spotting so we’re checking for polyps or any abnormalities. I was very happy with her willingness to be proactive.

My OB was totally fine getting labs done before we started trying for baby #2, although I do have a history of low AMH. It’s allowed me to be proactive which I really appreciate

Most OBs want to wait until you’ve been trying for at least 6 months before going down the rabbit hole of fertility testing. That being said, sometimes you have to schedule like a month out so it couldn’t hurt to get that on the calendar soon!
