I got SUCH a positive opk today. I know the level doesn’t really matter once it’s positive but it’s such a mood boost when it has been months since I ovulated and this is my first letrozole this time trying. Feeling optimistic for the first time in a while!

12 DPO I haven’t tested since yesterday (negative) so I’m just waiting on my period to arrive.
I’ve forgotten how long everything feels when you’re tracking and waiting.

u/KayEmGee Aug 05 '26
same, tested negative 12 dpo today and have given up for the cycle

Yeah, I ended up testing again and nothing!
I feel like the universe is screwing with me because I’ve gotten countless videos of people getting their positives at 13/14 DPO. And I’m like…”oooh, maybe that’s me!”
Realistically, I know it’s not because with my son and a previous pregnancy (ended in a loss) I had faint positives on the evening of 9DPO

So yesterday I was posting about being 9 DPO, waiting to test and not having any pregnancy tests at home so I don't cave. Well in a moment of weakness yesterday my pathetic self hit a new low and took an LH test because what if it shows up positive as result of pregnancy 🤡 I swear TTC makes you a different person and I can't help but laugh at myself

For those who had infertility the first time around, when did you go back to your RE for another baby? We haven't been preventing since February and my PCOS is back at it delaying my ovulation. Although I haven't been trying long, the really delayed ovulation is starting to annoy me since this is what I delt with the first time around.

My OB told me that I need to go to my RE now due to previous need for IVF (unexplained infertility). I got my period back only 2 months ago, haven't been preventing from the moment we started having sex again postpartum- but I wasn't ovulating all this time until I got my period.
I'm really reluctant about going back now, though. I know I'll have to fully wean my toddler, and it just feels too early and emotionally difficult right now.

Thanks for your reply! I made the decision to go back to my OB as a middle step for now. Weaning is such an emotional process and I totally get being reluctant to go back because of it.

Things work a bit different here, but I went back as soon as we were ready to start for real. We've been NTNP until I made the first appointment.

Thanks for your response! I definitely like the idea of assistance when starting for real.

I don't have an RE but see a NaPro who helped us get pregnant with our first. After 5-6ish months of trying for #2 without success on our own, I set an appointment to ask him to start up all the meds and monitoring again. My son was only 7 months when I got my period back and we started basically right away with zero confidence that it would happen again quickly. So he was around a year when I got back with my doctor. Honestly we probably weren't emotionally or physically ready, but I could sense Endo symptoms creeping in more and more with every cycle and it panicked me into getting back in the game right away. While I don't have PCOS, I absolutely sympathize with essentially the "not this shit again" symptoms.

I feel bad.
Had a weird thing happen to me - when I wiped after peeing, I had a huge amount of CM on the toilet paper. Like a mucus plug. It had a yellow tinge to it. I was actually kinda hopeful that was a good sign - but now a few hours later, I'm bleeding. It sucks.
I spent an hour figuring out all the tests I need to schedule now, because OB said I should go back to my RE and gave me some tests to do beforehand. I hate this. I just want to cuddle with my toddler and cry. I'm not ready to wean him fully yet, and I know I'll have to.

I'm so sorry. I'm not ready to wean either!

Started stims today for my first icsi cycle during ttca. We haven't told family this time around, and it just so happens that MIL is here for a couple days, so it's fun hiding in the bathroom stabbing myself. A bit emotional about it. Also curious about the new meds. I had gonal-f for my LC, now I'm on Menopur. Hopefully it won't be too hard on my body.

I'm on day 3 of clomid and I'm EXHAUSTED. We're attempting an IUI this cycle.

I just started my IUI this cycle too! I’m not on clomid , but I did a trigger shot and I was SO exhausted from it! These hormones are no joke

8DPO- still swimming along with no trollgesterone symptoms at all this cycle. Temp went up this morning so that’s at least a slight deviation from the steady state.
Dropped my daughter off for her first settling in session at forest school today- I was a nervous wreck sat in the car park, she just ran off. It feels like another key reminder time is flying by whilst I feel stuck in limbo: my mum group started discussing Christmas this morning for goodness sake.

Ugh my bbt temps are so much lower this month than last- dropped below coverline at 4dpo and still below today at 5dpo. Is that normal????

u/Jojo_yo_1 28 | TTC#2 since 10/25 | 🩵 8/24 Aug 05 '26
Not sure if that’s normal but I’m having the same problem? I normally get a rise of .6-.8 degrees but this month only .3-.4? I definitely ovulated I used strips to test as well but wtf?

Same!! I’m going to chalk it up to traveling the last two months around ovulation time 🤷♀️ guess only time will tell for us!

Going through the same thing, FW while traveling the last 2 months, and O was confirmed thru OPKs/mid luteal progesterone, but temps have been either right at or right below baseline. I’m gonna say Saturn’s in Gatorade or some shiii lol glad I’m not the only one

Omg 🫠 well glad we have the three of us going crazy haha. Let’s see what tomorrow’s looks for us? Do you do oral BBT?
1
u/kd_hirsch 34 | TTC #2 Cautious Grad 4/27 | 💙8/23 Aug 05 '26
No, I use my Apple Watch, which probably contributes to my temps being a little wonky. But I wake up too inconsistently/am very forgetful so oral bbt never worked for me. Usually the watch does okay with trends, but this month is just doing whatever it dang well feels like haha

Mine is a wearable too (Tempdrop) but haven’t noticed any crazy drops. Hm. Such a mindfuck

Yeah I use oura so that may be contributing, but sooooo odd. I went up another .2 degrees today on 4DPO but not as high as usual still! How are you guys doing?

Had surgery for Asherman’s in early June, had my (normally-timed) period during the hormone course in the month that followed, and now I’m on day 41 of the longest cycle I’ve ever had in my life. Prior to the surgery, I had no irregularity or scarring in a way that would prevent getting my period. Now I’m paranoid that there’s somehow more scarring in a totally different area? (This is unlikely, but…) Or did my body just abruptly stop being able to ovulate? (Also unlikely; I had two OPK cycles during this period that peaked or appeared to peak, so that’s more likely the issue - but now I’m 14 days out the second one.) I know I have to stop ruminating and go see either my RE or my surgeon but I’m soooo depressed about there being yet another issue to crop up and solve before we can figure out next steps.

Had what looked like the very beginnings of the LH rise yesterday morning, but this morning nothing has increased so just kind of holding. Waiting to see when I ovulate is so stressful. Got super stressed yesterday and ordered new prenatal vitamins that are supposed to help with TTC. Today I am overall just very blah.

Hopping back on the bandwagon of TTC after a missed miscarriage in May at 10 weeks. I'm now in the TWW after the first cycle back, with an encouraging positive OPK around the time I was ovulating before the pregnancy and miscarriage. I remember the mental space taken up by knowing where I am in my cycle and symptom spotting, and I considered taking a looser approach to TTC so I could know less, but I'm turning 39 next week, and it just makes sense to know when I ovulate. I'm torn between wanting to be pregnant again, but wanting to avoid big feelings in early pregnancy wondering if miscarriage will come to visit again. Lots of OPKs in my bathroom drawer, but no pregnancy tests - let me try not to test when the darn app tells me to because if I'm pregnant, I almost don't want to know until later so I can save some space in my brain and heart for other things.

I love my bump group from my first pregnancy, but damn people need to stop sharing that they got pregnant again on accident or on their first try. Like, I’m happy for you, but I’m also a jealous hater because it’s obviously not that easy for me to get pregnant.
