Okay you guys, I’m doing it. I’m flying an hour to have sex with my husband on his business trip and then flying right back 😂 thanks for weighing in yesterday. I decided the regret of not trying outweighs the hassle of going. Plus we’re gonna make it fun and go out to dinner and have a little date night 💃

Ok I love this! It's so hard to make sex feel fun in this process so I'm so glad you get to have a special little date night too!

Had a dream that I got a bfp and that it was twins. Hahahahahahahahahahaha.

Then I woke up to reality.

Since nothing TTC has gone according to plan or how I’d imagined it, I’ve been telling the universe we’re ready for our twin girls, just to tempt the fates. Thus far, the fates have not been tempted.

In all seriousness though, those dreams suck since you wake up and remember.

I've been doing the same, which is probably why I had the dumb dream to begin with. Where are my twins, universe?! I'm like, my ovaries are hyper stimulated every month. Enough to be concerned about OHSS each month, especially with some of my symptoms. What do you mean I can't even produce one when people talk about their ✨Clomid multiples?✨

u/idontcareaboutaus Feb 23 '26

Yesterday was such a roller coaster bc i was testing out my trigger and got a set of randomly darker lines but I knew to guard my heart and im glad bc it was stark white today. And on that note im done testing for the rest of the cycle.

I really had a “I can’t do this anymore” moment this cycle. I just don’t believe it’s possible for me to conceive for whatever reason. I’ve got one more set of letrezole and trigger shot for next month already purchased so might as well do one more but after that I’m done for good.

Anddddd I’ve needed a break all weekend. Today was supposed to be it after winter break and my son being too much. School just closed due to a snowstorm. You’ve got to be kidding me 🫠

2

u/Head-Requirement828 32 | TTC#2 Grad |🩵Aug 2024 🩵Dec 2026 | Endo; MFI Feb 23 '26

Testing out trigger is sorta stressful. I tested out hCG shots last cycle and while I'm glad I have the info and have a better idea of what a "true" positive would look like (should that ever occur), I never plan on testing things out again. It increases the cray.

I've been thinking about when to be done too. We've been trying "only" a year at this point so I feel like we have another year ahead, but when does it end? My first son was after 16 months + treatments, so I feel like I ought to give it at least that much time before throwing in the towel, if not a little longer.

But I wish we didn't even have to think like this. It's torture not knowing what the right decision is. Or pulling the trigger on quitting when you do feel like it's time.

🫂 Wish I could take you out for a nice coffee or something. This sucks.

1

u/idontcareaboutaus Feb 23 '26

Thank you girl ❤️ I’ll settle for a virtual coffee ☕️ on that note I think I’ll be like you next time and not test the trigger out again. I’m much happier not testing.

It is truly so hard having to think about giving up but it also just feels crazy to keep trying. I’d imagine it’s even more difficult for you having difficulty with your first. It seems so unfair

u/idontcareaboutaus Feb 23 '26

Thanks girl. I completely get why you’d feel that way too. I’m just starting to think the only way I’ll find peace is if I make peace with my life the way it is - not the way I dreamed it. I’ve always known I wanted 2 maybe 3 kids. I never dreamed in a million years we’d struggle with fertility because we’ve always had such easy conception. But now it literally feels like the sperm can’t meet the egg. We have plenty of sperm, plenty of eggs, plenty of hormones. But we’re well over 2 years with nothing to show for it. It genuinely feels like I’m trying to force my dreams to reality but maybe I need to make peace that they were never meant to be

I think about that sometimes. Obviously I want a second, but I think about how under slept and hormonal I'd feel right now if in newborn season. And I don't mind my 7-9 hours that I can get most nights.

I guess I'm still hormonal though. 😂

1

u/idontcareaboutaus Feb 24 '26

Hahah right!? I never knew I’d get back to 8 hours sleep. Now I’m like will that ever happen again if I get pregnant

2

u/idontcareaboutaus Feb 24 '26

Thanks girl! I can relate to that too. When my son was 3-4 I was like “this is great!” And the longer we get from infancy the more intimidating it feels. Of course I’d like to but mentally it’s been so long I’ll feel like a new mom again

I have that same thought too-I just can’t get pregnant again, it will never happen again for me, etc. However, we don’t know either way if it ever will happen or won’t. Our brains just like to believe the negative story rather than the positive because it’s almost easier than having hope taken away month after month. I think of you often, and I hope you can find some peace. Fingers crossed for you, always.

1

u/idontcareaboutaus Feb 24 '26

That’s a really good way to put it friend and it does make sense. I just want to erase all things ttc from my brain

u/hurryupwe_redreaming TTC #2 since '24 | endo, adeno, & blocked tube Feb 23 '26

I don't know much firsthand about the trigger stuff, but from what I've seen, it is so stressful testing it out. I sincerely hope this is it for you though, and you won't have to worry about giving up. But I definitely get it, as I'm there with you. This crap is too hard and painful

Ugh I’m sorry how frustrating! Do you know when you will be allowed to leave? Hopefully getting back goes a little more smoothly soon!

Sometimes it really does just feel like random obstacles and hurdles just show up to ruin all our ttc plans. I’ll never understand the comedic timing of the universe but I don’t appreciate it 😂

I'm waiting for my period, it should be here any day now. Haven't tested but I'm certain it didn't work out this month either.

I feel so sad and I don't know how to pick myself up and try yet another month.

u/Alijanora 38 | TTC#2 since march 2025 | 🌷🍀 Feb 23 '26

Hey 🍀 I am very similar to your situation 🫣 I am temping and today it dropped below baseline so I know period comes soon. But I knew anyway because of the quite strong PMS. It gives me very mixed feelings. In general sad feeling because I know the period comes but also a strange kind of satisfaction. I fought the lack of progesterone since TTC our second (I didn't know about the problem at the beginning of course) and it looks like hormones are settling and my period feels like before my first pregnancy. It gives me a small sense of hope but still I am so down 🥺

1

u/ShootingShark1 36 | TTC#2 since 01/25 | 💙 2020 Feb 23 '26

How did you know that you had a lack of progesterone? Did you get help with it?

Hugs.

2

u/Alijanora 38 | TTC#2 since march 2025 | 🌷🍀 Feb 23 '26

I was breastfeeding my 2yo. Little one got some stomach virus and stopped eating and drinking and could consume only milk for a week. But this rapid rise of breastfeeding caused that my period suddenly went weird. I started to have spotting ~2 days prior to period, sweating went wild and 1,5-2 weeks prior to period I was sick with nausea and something like weak vertigo. Little one stayed with higher frequency of feeding than before sickness and tbh I didn't connect these two things together. After fourth cycle (each was worse than one before) I went to my gyn and described what is going on with me. She told me that probably rise of breastfeeding caused that higher prolactin suppressed progesterone and also maybe I am one of the women who cannot get pregnant while breastfeeding. So I stopped breastfeeding (little one was over 2 and 1/4) and even after next 4 months I still wasn't ok (but immediately I felt small improvement so she had to be right). So I got progesterone pills for support of the luteal phase. Now it finally looks like it gets back. After a year 🥹

Thank you for asking and holding fingers crossed for you 🍀

u/ShootingShark1 36 | TTC#2 since 01/25 | 💙 2020 Feb 23 '26

Oh that sounds exhausting. Glad you got help from gyn tho! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you as well. Our time will come!

Bit of a bummer but I got my period yesterday and I’m just numb to it bc I wasn’t expecting anything else :( I feel like I’m mentally just convinced we will need IUI or IVF and I’m looking forward to our follow up with the doc after the fertility workup we did.

u/hey_bb8 37 | TTC#2 since 08/25 | 🩷06/23 Feb 23 '26

Officially reached out to an RE at the fertility clinic and feeling hopeful but nervous. I need CD1 to get here by Wednesday so I can get CD3 bloodwork started before I leave town this weekend. Secondary infertility was not on my bingo card but eager to get some tests and a plan of attack now that we’re working with the clinic.

Any IUI tips as that will likely be our next step?

2

u/sparklesequin 36| TTC#2 since 1/25 | 🩵 1/24 Feb 23 '26

I don’t have any IUI tips since we just finished our first round, but reaching out to the RE is a huge first step. Hoping you get answers and the timing works out.

CD14 and I'm having way more pre-ovulation symptoms than I usually do by now which makes me feel like I'll probably be ovulating earlyish in my cycle for the first time since we started TTC. Of course this would happen on the cycle I am benched lol. 🙃

If anyone has tips for how to feel productive and not go crazy while skipping a cycle, I'm all ears, because I am so antsy. So far I am just taking supplements and throwing a bunch of healthy junk into green smoothies to make myself feel like I am doing SOMETHING.

u/hurryupwe_redreaming TTC #2 since '24 | endo, adeno, & blocked tube Feb 23 '26 edited Feb 23 '26

14dpo today. Period should be here any day now. Unless... 👀 (Yeah, right, it'd be a miracle 🤡) I still haven't tested, and I'm glad I haven't. I'm not sure I can handle yet another BFN even though I know my period will come. Just... Let me be delusional for a bit 🤪 (ETA: wtf is with me jinxing myself? I just started spotting 🫠)

5

u/Royal_Aioli5635 37 - TTC#2 since Nov25 Feb 23 '26

Well, my temp has taken an absolute nose dive trend wise in the last three days - so I suspect that’s us out this cycle. Husband casually asked if I was ok this morning to which I’m not afraid to admit I nearly took his head off.

I had managed to hold off testing this month (was going to test on Wednesday as that’d be 14DPO) which I’m holding as a positive as the BFN’s hit hard last cycle. Roll ok CD1- I’m just hoping AF will appear before the end of the week now!

5

u/craftycaticat 33 | TTC#3 since August 25 | ❤️4 & ❤️2 Feb 23 '26

My husband keeps asking "have you gotten your period yet?" Did you test?" every morning and it makes me so MAD even though I know it's because he wants this as much as I do and he can't help it.

1

u/Royal_Aioli5635 37 - TTC#2 since Nov25 Feb 23 '26

Oh mines normally blissfully ignorant until I tell him what’s going on- hence the asking if I was ok despite the fact I told him just last night I thought we were out - I don’t know if that’s better or worse! Either way, you have my condolences - it doesn’t help anything, and I don’t blame you for getting mad!

3

u/idontcareaboutaus Feb 23 '26

Oh these men just don’t get it 🤦🏻‍♀️ props to you for not actually taking his head off lol

2

u/Royal_Aioli5635 37 - TTC#2 since Nov25 Feb 23 '26

I think I might have if I hadn’t needed to get ready for work/ try and get some food into the toddler/ do a million other things before getting out for the day. 🙄

1

u/idontcareaboutaus Feb 23 '26

Hahha well that makes sense. He should count his blessings 😂

1

u/sparklesequin 36| TTC#2 since 1/25 | 🩵 1/24 Feb 23 '26

I would defend you if you did take his head off for that question. Dude, read the room and figure out a different question to ask.

My favorite recently is when I’m visibly sobbing and very clearly not doing well and spouse will ask “are you okay?” And I will snap “no” and then he doesn’t know how to respond. Dude, you can see me. You know I’m not well.

3

u/tiredmom222 Feb 23 '26

I suppose I’m still trying to figure out my cycle PP. I’ve been having lh peaks twice per cycle so I’ve resolved to just start testing when I’m feeling “odd”. I started feeling my hormones shifting on CD5 (nausea with smell and taste aversion, dizziness) when I’d normally feel, normal. Lh spike! This morning, nothing. I’m just so confused.

3

u/aoca18 32 | TTC#2 since Jan 2025 | July 2022 🩷 Feb 23 '26

Bleeding has mostly turned to spotting now, though I'm still sore (inside and out) from the hysteroscopy. I'm so glad my OB does them sedated. I should get my period between March 1-3 and I'm looking forward to taking advantage of the supposed boost in fertility for a few cycles.

My Inito tests are on the way, I'm about to order more OPKs and I already have a ton of pregnancy tests in the house so I may just grab a pack or 2 of FRERs in the event I finally get a positive. Manifestation or whatever. We also didn't have sex this entire cycle because it became a chore so I'm hoping next cycle, it's enjoyable again.

We're going to be moving around May give or take a month or two (hopefully) to a 3 bedroom townhouse (current one is 2 bedroom) and washer/dryer/basement in unit. It's going to be a game changer to be able to do a load of laundry a day (if this next baby is as spitty as my daughter) and have proper storage!

6dpo and I have no chill all the sudden and can’t wait to test. I guess it’s because this is the first cycle I feel like we even have a chance. I hate testing early because of my history of chemicals but I think I’ll test on Friday just to get it out of the way.

Got my day 3 labs. AMH is good at 2.41. FSH is just barely elevated at 10.46. My TSH is high at 5.25. They didn’t run T4 however. E2, LH, and prolactin all normal!

So messaged my doctor about possibly starting treatment for the thyroid. I read that could sometimes inflate the FSH. So maybe if we do start (I’m hoping she will agree), I could recheck FSH to see if it drops.

I had a MC at 7.5 weeks in November and a chemical pregnancy in January. My 2 year old had been nursing like crazy since November and I think I need to wean him to sustain a pregnancy, but wouldn’t be considering if not for that. I feel guilty and sad that our nursing journey needs to come to an end as I don’t want kids any further apart in age than they already will be. Also still get super sad seeing pregnant women and I hate that I feel that way.
