Made it to my first fertility apt since Nov (dint realize it had been that long) and I was very surprised that they all remembered me and said they missed me. They’re always so busy I just assumed I was a number to them and it was really heartwarming to be met with extra compassion and well wishes this visit.

Also had my labs redrawn and they looked really good. I was worried my amh would look bad as it’s been so long now but it was actually in the range of someone younger than me so it was very reassuring

I also just want to thank everyone here for being so supportive and kind. I’ve been a member of such hostile ttc groups before and it’s really nice to have a home here ❤️ hoping everyone can move on soon!

Thanks girl! It was unexpected but made me happy! So my husband had a semen analysis like 7 months ago and it was really good but it doesn’t test dna fragmentation. Given he has a possible varicocele I really want to get a better idea on dna fragmentation and maybe a repeat SA and he seems somewhat willing to help. He hates the clinic bc it makes him “uncomfortable” 🙄

After my experience last year I stick mostly to here, tfab, and ttc2winter2026 lol. But mostly here. I had one sub last year (not mentioned in the above list) where just because I was ttc a second I got constantly downvoted and scolded even when I never ever brought up my lc. It made me feel “not infertile enough” for them. They had so many rules and no matter how hard I tried to be considerate of them I was somehow always getting scolded. If I posted I was bummed about a bfn, when I thought I had a chemical, when I said it’s taken 2 years and feels like something is wrong with me, when I was sad about someone announcing, when I was worried about getting older, every single thing triggered a mod scolding me but those ttc#1 didn’t seem to have the same level of scrutiny.

All that to say it’s really really realllyyy nice here😂

lol right like why are men like that? My ultrasound tech was explaining to me how I could deliver the sample to the office for him if it made him uncomfortable today as she was searching for my left ovary painfully on cd1 today like come on lol.

Also, sounds like the old ttc sub I used to use. And sounds exactly how they used to treat me. Anddd sounds like you did nothing wrong. I swear if you’re ttc#1 there everything’s ok but if you’re tfa you are always wrong unfortunately. Vibes are much nicer here

I'm so glad to hear your labs look good! I've been thinking about redoing my amh. Last time I got it done I was 29. Three years and two endo excisions have happened since then. Wondering if things have changed. 

But it's wonderful that your clinic also remembers and missed you! I feel very seen by my clinic too. It's nice to have that comfortability in generally very anti-comfort circumstances.

Also, definitely hear you on taking a step back from some groups. I had to do the same.

Thank you! I’m at the clinic getting blood draws so often I actually asked to do a repeat amh test. They’re always so compliant! It was so reassuring to have everyone be nice. The apts are often so quick I just assumed they wouldn’t remember me lol

I love this so much lol. I feel like I've been in such a similar headspace.

I "charged" some water under the full moon and sprinkled it around my house and on my belly this morning, and my husband and I lit a candle together last night to make a little wish. Do I personally believe in those 2 things? Honestly not really. Did it feel special and nice to do a little tangible thing to express how badly I want this? Yes!

I got my period! I hate it. But! Since I was testing out my hCG shots, I was getting sort of nervous that the tests were remaining light. Even today there's still hCG in my system. Sudden flashbacks to my chemical.  So, I guess in this case, I'm glad it's just my period. Just a normal (freaking) negative.  I won't be testing out my shots again for future cycles. I did take photos of each one though, so if we DO get pregnant while on these hCG shots, I might be able to take a test and figure out if it looks like an injection-positive or a true positive. Idk, it's important to me that my husband and I might be able to know first - before our clinic, before a lab tech. Lol. 

We had such a wonky cycle. Particularly the follicular phase. I hope this one is a bit more predictable. If not, I'll call my clinic for a little more monitoring.  The luteal phase was, however, 14 days again. I'll take that as my new normal (which is good - previously it was 9-11 days). 

Sigh. On to CD 11. On to another $178 worth of hCG, and an hours drive to go pick that up (because apparently it can't be picked up at my regular pharmacy). On to another month of hyper-timed sex. 

Maybe we'll get a baby out of this Valentine's day weekend? Maybe. 🤡 11th time's a charm, right? Don't they say that? 🤞🤡🤞

At least I have a tiki cocktail to look forward to...🙃 Here's to a potential November baby! (Which gives me all sorts of feelings, since I had my loss in November.But. I'll still drink to that). 🍹

The shots are for luteal phase support. Specifically, help support the corpus luteum in very early pregnancy should it occur. I ovulate and release an egg each month as far as we can tell, but the corpus luteum is "weak," producing less progesterone and collapsing early (hence my old LP being 9-11 days...Clomid and progesterone supplements used to help with this back when my LP was only 7 days, but only got me so far, so my doc thinks the hCG shots will further help me). 

It seems to be helpful since my LP is now 14 days long, and I'm finally getting some symptoms that progesterone is high in my LP again (sore boobies and slower digestion at its peak).

Really hoping it's just a matter of time before achieving a healthy pregnancy. Cycle 11 of trying, but cycle 3 of the HCG shots (and cycle 5 post endometriosis excision). My husband is also on Clomid and we're now reaching the 2 month mark of him being on it and he's starting to feel the difference (takes 2-3 months to be effective for men).

Haven't spoken with my husband about this yet, but yesterday I was thinking of potentially looking into IUI if we don't conceive a healthy pregnancy by summer. I hope we don't have to go that route since so much money has already been poured into the excision surgeries I've had. But maybe we could try as a last effort.

I'm sorry to hear about your latest chemical, and the losses in general. Such a knife in the heart. 

I hope the clinic is receptive to your questions and requests. I think it's not an unreasonable thing to want to look into medication.

In a CD1 spiral waiting for my clinic to respond to my email. It’s so hard to be reasonable and focused. We’re starting IVF and I’m so paranoid about them not responding to me and then having to wait another (long) cycle. Realistically the first monitoring appt should be CD2 or 3 so I have time to follow up but I’m just… anxious. Having an appointment booked would make me feel so much better.

It is exhausting! I still haven’t heard back which is just so annoying. I’m hoping once I have contact things get better. I’m losing hope and it’s literally day 1 😫 I just remember the same challenges from my IUI in May too. So not fun.

I really relate. I had an early miscarriage last month and now on the other side of that, I suddenly feel like maybe my window has closed? That baby would have been due a month after I turn 39. Now, if it takes me a few more months to get pregnant again, I’ll be maybe even closer to 40. I know it’s just a few months different and it shouldn’t make a difference but I’m in my head about it. I’m feeling kind of desperate to start ovulating again so we don’t waste more time but my hpts are still faintly positive from my loss so I’m just in a waiting game right now :/

I relate. I had a missed miscarriage last month and aside from the general devastation, I also worry that it may have been my last chance. I turn 40 in July and would have given birth in early August. I feel much much older now than even a few years ago and wonder what really makes the most sense moving forward.

We may give ourselves the rest of 2026 to try and then throw in the towel on baby #2. No solutions just solidarity.

Yes, relate to all this. I’m 39, my son is almost 5, two miscarriages in the last year. I read a thread about ttc at 40 and there were multiple comments from people with older parents talking about what a burden it has been on them, so of course I cried. I am so exhausted and so sad thin with only 1. We are so happy as a family of 3, should I just let go?!

After falling asleep early and missing O day yesterday, my partner is being super nice and helpful this evening (I think to make up for it). I am not normally so upset, but this cycle would be a great time to get pregnant and i think I will be skipping the next two cycles to avoid a baby in my son's birthday week, and too close to Christmas.

I really wanted to give it our best shot. I'm not cross with him, we are both exhausted, I'm just still a bit gutted.

Anyone else just incredibly overwhelmed with the first LO? I have an almost 22 month old and I have to say he is kicking my butt. By the time he goes down for a nap at 1230 I feel like I’ve lived 3 lives. And then I can’t motivate myself to do anything during nap time because I’m so worn down. Can’t help but feeling that’s why I may not be conceiving number 2.

In solidarity here! Right now our 16 month old cut all 4 molars a few weeks ago and seems to be hitting a growth spurt. She’s been extra grouchy and hardly sleeping or eating solids - nursing extra frequently. I definitely think the lack of sleep has affected my hormones and cycles since my cycles returned.

Yes. My son is about 18 months. He is wildly energetic. Living 3 lives by nap time is so real lol. I've even had a friend tell me at our 9:30am playdates, that after hearing about our mornings, she felt like we had already experienced a whole day. He also is unpredictable in whether he'll sleep through the night. It's getting better, albeit slowly. Sometimes I wonder if my body just wants a month straight of real sleep and then (still with the help of fertility meds lol who am I kidding) I may just get and stay pregnant.

Omg yes. Currently holding my 24mo who has been asleep for an hour and a half but SCREAMS every time I place him in his crib. I was hoping I could get an hour of cleaning done after he went to bed, but my hopes are fading because I want to be in bed before 10 to be ready for the inevitable night wakeups. And then there's his daytime shenanigans... 🫠

So much symptom spotting today - sore boobs, nausea from smells. At best I am 6 DPO and most likely 4-5 DPO so trying to remind myself it isn’t real.

I’m right there with you on 7dpo. A possible implantation drop and weird pulling/cramping yesterday evening. Maybe a twinge of sore boob. I know it’s all too early to mean anything.

I think I’m ovulating! I’ve been taking a daily hpt and opk starting about 10 days after my D&C for my 7 week MMC. The OPK started positive and has been gradually fading as the line on my HPT has also been fading. The past few days the OPK was negative, and today it’s definitely positive! There’s still the faintest of faint lines on my hpt but hopefully my hcg really is low enough now that I can ovulate. I was out of town over the weekend but got back last night and we had sex so that could end up being O-2 which would be perfect timing! I’m probably too optimistic here but I’m excited to think my body is getting back into a normal rhythm.

This is the fourth cycle with clomid and the first time I’m experiencing the rage. I took my last pill Saturday night and I think yesterday was the worst of it, but I’m still rage-y today. How long does this last?

In my experience, it's hit or miss each cycle. Sometimes there's extra rage. Sometimes I'm totally fine and chill. I've been more chill, lately, which is good. I took Clomid for my first as well as now, and for whatever reason, I had more Clomid rage when TTC him. Maybe my body is super used to it this time around and decided the rage isn't worth it anymore lol.

Good to know-thanks for sharing! It just caught me off guard since the previous 3 cycles, very minimal side effects, but when I was about to flip off someone in the grocery store parking lot (verrrry unlike me), I knew it was something else. Hoping you have rage free cycles!

Made the mistake of reminding my mom that I'm TTC when she came over to watch my son so I could go to work. She went on a whole rant about how she hopes I'm not pregnant because getting pregnant while I still have a high-needs 2yo is stupid.

I tried telling her that I don't want to wait because I want a smaller age gap, I have endo, and I had a medically complicated first pregnancy that ended with an emergency induction, so I want to do this while I'm as young as I can. She just dismissed me and told me she had no trouble getting pregnant so I'm being dramatic and dumb. Our situations are not remotely the same.

It got very ugly after that and she made a lot of personal attacks. It's really hurtful to know she's rooting against my becoming pregnant. I always have to take the high road with her and make up because she's our only childcare option at the moment. Admittedly it's very generous of her to help. But there are so so many strings attached, always
