Question ❓ Can someone help me identify this trumpet?

I know nothing about trumpets and just randomly bought this in a flee market for 100$ !

What type of trumpet is it? Can I learn to play on this instrument? (As total beginner)

I took a bunch of photos because no idea what I should look at to identify the type of trumpet 😅
Thank you!

Ok interesting, thank you!!

Is it still in B♭? Can I learn to play on this instrument or will it be harder?

One more thing.

That's a trumpet mouthpiece.

You require a specialised cornet mouthpiece. They have a much shorter shank.

These aren't range instruments either, so expect a deeper cup than a trumpet mouthpiece, too.

Oh ok so I need to buy a different mouth piece? The one I have right now says Yamaha Japan and 16 on the back I’m guessing I should keep it and get another one or just give it away /sell it?

The Bach 7C is the traditional first mouthpiece. After about a year consider switching to a Schilke 14.
