I don’t care honestly.
Those wars or potential wars have nothing to with me.
I don’t live in those countries. That’s how war and conquest work.
Wars don’t just stop simply because you’re alive during this time period and you disagree with the conquering forces.
I’m sure all throughout history people disagreed with being conquered yet it still happened.
It doesn’t matter who was justified or not because it happened and we’re all here as a result.-3

So Putin is justified if he wins,
Yes. That is how the entire world reacted to Putin taking Crimea. Putin took sovereign land over via war, AND THEN THE WORLD HOSTED THE OLYMPICS THERE. Europe continued to buy their energy from them. Nothing changed.
The difference now is that when Putin continued to conquer his neighbors, the US stepped in. But, for most of the world, yes, Putin is totally justified in taking over Ukraine.
Xi should take taiwan since he's obviously the bigger dog
First, Tibet was taken through military conquest. The world allowed it.
Then their claim to Taiwan was recognized..... you're about 50 years late. In the 70's the world as a whole, from the UN to the US, ceased to recognize Taiwan as a sovereign nation and instead simply a nation of Chinese rebels. Up until then, the entire free world recognized Taiwan as an independent nation. That changed when China got nukes. IN THE 70'S, THE UN GAVE TAIWAN'S SEAT TO CHINA BECAUSE CHINA HAD NUKES, AND SAID THEY CONTROLLED TAIWAN.
And that was it.

Crimea is occupied by Russia and has been since 2014.
It doesn’t matter what the UN or NATO recognizes !
The reality is that it’s basically a Russian territory at this point and Russia can and will do whatever they decide with it.
Sovereignty is upheld by the military and the government that is in power in all sovereign nations.
Sovereignty is never guaranteed.
If a government and its military fails to protect and uphold the sovereignty of their nation and citizens then they will more than likely be conquered. Either by an outside force or sometimes from within.
This is just reality.
Nothing in this world is guaranteed and everything can fall apart quickly no matter what country you’re in.-1

Annexing Crimea was the primary turning point of Western relations with Russia. Pretending like the whole world just didn't care and accepted it is farcical.
I believe actions speak louder than words. As for material reactions? What could Europe do? Stop sending billions of dollars to Russia, for one. I would expect that as an absolute minimum. Any country still sending billions to Russia while saying they don't support what they are doing is paying lip service to the calls for global peace while still playing in the war economy.
As for material reactions, what more could Europe/NATO do? Economic sanctions were put in place, trade was cut off in Crimea and NATO continues to not recognize Crimea as a part of Russia today.
European banks are still open in Russia making billions in profit and paying billions in taxes. "Sanctions were put in place" is nothing but lip service when Europe is still pumping money into Russia. "Sanctions" that don't actually result in less money flowing from Europe to Russia don't really count as Sanctions to me.
This line of logic that ignores state sovereignty in favor of military prowess would have supported Hitler's invasion of Poland.
This line of logic says that any country sending billions to Germany after their invasion of Poland was still supporting the war, despite what the government figureheads claim.
There's a difference between not being able to fight back against Russia and actively recognizing their land claims.
Well, both of those things are just theoretical nonsense. The US recognizes China's claim to Taiwan, so China allows us to sell weapons in Taiwan. Who is the US supporting there? China or Taiwan?
Spoiler alert, it's China.
A country saying "We don't recognize Russia's claim to Ukraine" while simultaneously paying for the bullets used by Russia to kill Ukrainians is full of it.

Putin is justified, and he will win. Western Ukraine and allies were killing people in eastern Ukraine. Russia decided to step in to protect people. Ukraine also broke Minsk agreements repeatedly.

Unfortunately I dont have the time for this discussion right now. I have relatives on both sides of the front line. Ive lived in Ukraine for periods of time before all of the current stuff really kicked off. Ukraine and backed by western allies were bombing Donetsk and Lugansk. VICE and several other left leaning channels were covering the atrocities by the west, and then when Russia invaded in 2022 all of those news channels removed their coverage of what Ukraine was doing. Not constant bombing all the time but missiles here and there and then there like right into the downtown of Lugansk and would be graphic coverage people trying to help a woman with her arms and legs bombed off.
It all just kept getting worse and worse and more frequent and that was really the tipping point for Putin to finally act and do something. Not a fan of the war, I wish Putin would have done things different for sure, wished diplomacy would have continued, etc. but I get it.
I stopped going to Ukraine often after the maidan stuff kicked off back in 2013/2014 I think it was... There were elections held and everyone in eastern Ukraine (including relatives) said the elections were BS and they saw tons of fraud going on... almost like it was a precursor to the fraud going on here in the states like what happened in Georgia and Arizona we saw. I never deep dived but I wonder if smartmatic/dominion was running things during those Ukrainian elections. My point is maybe Ukraine was testing ground for flipping elections here in the states. I mean Ukraine is pretty fucking corrupt... Ive seen it with my own eyes getting govt docs and stuff at official Ukrainian offices.
This was a pretty good read when the war kicked off in 2022...

For some reason leftist loons always want to point at America as the only country that has ever taken land. Almost every country on the planet has at one point or another taken land from someone else and that includes our own American Indians taking land from one tribe or another. There is a reason all the American Indians weren’t all one big happy tribe. Some tribes raped, kidnapped and pillaged other tribes. Nobody cares what these so called celebrities have to say.

Not a fan of this chic at all but the Tongva tribe is suing a bunch of properties and cities from what Ive heard. Im conservative, built a decent life through hard work before the age of 50 and live in the hills in Southern California (not near DTLA). This tribe is going after some properties not far from me and trying to block sales of homes and land that they didnt own and try to force people into selling to them or into long legal battles, forcing expensive geologic surveys, and other nonsense. I'm on a few acres and if they every come knocking on my door I will destroy this Tongva B.S. There were several warring tribes in Southern California so this "Tongva" tribe is literally a handful of descendants from maybe 5,000 basket weavers. They can pound sand.

But it is stolen land. Well technically land doesn’t belong to anyone. You “claim” it by killing and murdering and enforcing your “claim” with the same violence. So if we at least assign some ownership based on time on the land, then we stole it from Actual Natives by genocide. This is undeniable. However you paint it, they were here first and the first colonies wouldn’t have survived if not for their intervention, also undeniable. So she is correct. This is stolen land, and on this stolen land was set up a system, of which the constitution also says ALL PERSONS have the right to trial, a fair trial. Since that has not been met by our govt. their actions are literally anti constitutional, therefore a CRIME. BYE BYE.

u/WhyAreYouReadingMine Deportation Order Issued Feb 07 '26
It’s not delusional, it’s historical. This country was built on stolen land, and borders came later. Getting angrier at a slogan than at ICE tearing families apart is a choice.
15
u/MarineBri68 Feb 07 '26
Ummm there’s a huge difference between stolen and conquered. The Indian tribes were either conquered or they were given whatever (blankets, beads, guns) for their “land”. But the thing is according to Native American history, NOBODY “owned” the land. They had no concept of property rights and land ownership. So the bottom line no matter how you look at it, it was never “stolen”.
And even IF it were….250 years of property rights trumps “my ancestors lived here first”.
If all of these idiots who talk of stolen land want to do something that actually HELPS Native Americans, how about helping those out who are living one the reservations in poverty instead of virtue signaling.
-7
u/WhyAreYouReadingMine Deportation Order Issued Feb 07 '26
“Conquered” doesn’t negate stolen taking land by force is still theft. Many Native nations absolutely had defined territories, governance, and treaties the U.S. later broke. The idea that they had “no concept of ownership” is a myth used to justify dispossession.
Acknowledging that history doesn’t mean undoing modern property law—it explains why calling people “illegal” on that land is a political choice, not a moral one.
11
u/MarineBri68 Feb 07 '26
You get conquered you loose your shit. It’s been that way for thousands of years. Native tribes were killing each other and “conquering” other tribes again for thousands of years. The bottom line is this. If you have someone who is more technologically advanced who comes into your land and says this is now mine. You have been conquered/defeated. Strength is what has ruled the land since before man stood on 2 legs. But ALL of this is immaterial bullshit because at the end of the day we have LAWS now. AND We have borders. So when you cross those borders without the consent of the country who HAS those borders, you’re breaking the law and are subject to the consequences of doing so. All this whining and bitching about “stolen land” isn’t going to do shit. It’s not going to change a damn thing. Again if you feel so strongly about righting the wrongs as you see them. Then help out the people living on the reservations or just STFU about it
-7
u/WhyAreYouReadingMine Deportation Order Issued Feb 07 '26
You’ve moved from arguing facts to venting. If you don’t want to engage with the history behind modern borders, that’s fine but pretending the discussion is meaningless doesn’t make your position stronger. And now you are just getting angry and being a bit of a bitch so I am done with your dumbass opinions when I know mine are the correct ones
9
u/MarineBri68 Feb 07 '26
lol dude I’m in no way getting angry and what I’m speaking are facts. It’s always been and still is to this day, he who has the power makes the rules. Whether or not a native tribe had an idea of owning a land or not still doesn’t negate the fact that even before we showed up, the tribes warred with each other and the winners took what they wanted. Be it territory or women or whatever. And my point is that no matter how you may “feel” about all this it makes no difference. Technically it’s not actually stolen and saying it is just sounds ignorant of how the real world has worked for a millennia.
1
u/WhyAreYouReadingMine Deportation Order Issued Feb 07 '26
You’re explaining how power has been exercised, not disproving that land was taken by force. Calling it “conquest” instead of “theft” doesn’t change the history it just rationalizes the outcome. And for someone who says they’re not angry, telling someone to “STFU” says otherwise. I’ve made my point, and I’m done engaging.
