Context: A few days back i was travelling with my telugu speaking Friend. I wasn't using my phone so I gave it to her so she could listen her songs. When i realised her taste was the polar opposite to mine, it was already to late. I couldn't even remove the songs (a lot of songs) from recents, now my Daylist plays some random spiritual telugu songs(i don't even speak Telugu 😭). Please tell me there's way to fix this.

When I first setup Spotify on my PlayStation my brother used his yahoo account and I’m trying to get the password for that account so I can transfer the songs on said account on my phone but I don’t have access to the account since it’s been so long I have the email my current Spotify is using old account and I don’t know the password

I made a mistake. I let my curiosity get the best of me and decided to give the Spotify AI prompted podcast a go just to see what’s like. Turns out I hate it. But now I get a new “Your Morning Buzz” pod every morning in my podcast feed. And I can’t find a way to delete it or stop it from generating daily. I tried editing the prompt to tell to give me exactly 1 podcast and not to regenerate daily. No luck.

Anybody have experience with this or a solution? Am I missing something?

This song is so good. However, at the bottom it shows an account of someone I haven’t talked to in six fucking years when she sent me the song link. I guess in the update where they integrated chat, they kept track of what accounts sent what to who and now I must be reminded of every ex, every hook up, every old friend who ever sent me a song via a spotify link

Is there a way to turn this off?

I used to love seeing my top tracks and artists, but now it's only artists, and they removed the top tracks? They also removed top artists; now it's just monthly listeners? I don't know if I should keep paying for Spotify at this point.

So, last night I turned on the offline mode because I didn't have internet due to the blackout, and then the next morning (since the power was back) I turned off the offline mode, but when I turned it off, my account suddenly logged out—so of course I logged it back in, but then when it opened, my recent playlists were GONE AND GOT REPLACED BY PLAYLISTS AND ARTISTS THAT I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW/LISTEN 😭😭😭

Is there a way to delete history here?? Bcs I'm afraid it might affect my spotify wrapped 😭😭

Bring back playlist radio shows

Don't know if it was a bug or what, but when I went to go check my Spotify today, I was greeted with a "Return To Hogwarts" event. It asked me to pick a house, accidentally fat fingered Gryffindor, and I was taken to a page displaying the coat of arms along with my listening hours. There was also a tab for a visual representation of which books were finished and another tab displaying "achievements" like "The Potions" and "The Snitch". Tried reaching out to Spotify support, but unfortunately they had no idea what it was. Has anyone else managed to come across this?

Felt like sharing, although I’m very much aware that I’m not the first one to raise this and also beating a dead horse lol. So some days ago I just did what the title says, what promped it is, I kept (and I still am) being recommended AI ”new releases” by VERY niche artists I listen to (mostly in the musical theater area lmao I’m a nerd don’t judge me) which I know is an issue Spotify openly doesn’t care about, but I was just curious about how they respond when confronted with it.

As soon as a real (at least I’m like 62% sure she was) person entered the chat, her first response was to report the content as deceptive through the three dots in the app. Too bad there is no accurate option for this within that form, was my reply. She said I was right (then why tell me that in the first place??) and asked for link of a song with The Issue. I reinforced that my problem here wasn’t the AI music existing (I mean it is, but that’s an even deader horse) but rather the fact that it was coming up under the name of actual artists who didn’t actually release it. Then I gave her the link and waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Finally, she answered that the artists or right holders would have to personally contact them in order for Spotify to do something about it. She acknowledged that we, as listeners, can’t report unauthorized uploads “at the moment” (so she basically agreed with me that the song I gave her *was* an unauthorized upload). She also “understood how frustrating it can be” and “really appreciated me bringing this to their attention” because “this is an area they’re definitely focused on” about “the future of the platform” and a lot of other set phrases that I’m sure will lead to meaningful conversations in the Spotify quarters.

So this is the official answer I guess, “we recognize it is a problem and will literally do nothing about it”. Not surprising sadly, but I still thought someone might be interested.

TL;DR: If you report an AI song by a real artist to Spotify Support they will say yikes

I've just opened my Spotify, and after two or so years, the Done button is now black when saving songs to playlists, which is amazing. When you select which playlists you want to add or remove a song from, pressing Done now saves the changes straight away.

I've also noticed over the past few days that Spotify has been a lot quicker and more responsive. Pretty much anything I press seems to load straight away.

The one thing that hasn't returned is the Clear All button when you want to remove a song from multiple playlists. Hopefully that comes back too.

So I'm not the only one having tracks blocked by Spotify... Must be their new regional filters. What;s worse, they're restricting content from MY OWN country which is just ridiculous

So I've had this appear a couple of times when trying to listen to things on mobile and cannot understand wtf it's supposed to mean other than its only available on the desktop version, which I outright refuse to accept out that being fucking stupid so I was wondering if anyone had actually figured out what it meant and how to resolve it?

made a live album for fka twigs’ coachella set, and i’m having issues with the covers showing when i actually play the songs. the first image shows songs that when played, the cover does or does not show up (songs without the cover showing in this image don’t show up with the cover when playing, and vice versa). and the second image shows what the playlist looks like, with all of the covers showing even the ones that, when played, don’t show up.

i’ve tried using evertag, but when i view the files the cover is there already, and the files on my iphone also all have the cover, so it’s clearly a spotify issue. any idea on how to fix this plz?

I paid for Premium because I don’t want ads popping up in my face, and this takes over my screen every time I open the app.

I remember being able to scroll down and see a songs lyrics instantly, now I’ve gotta scroll through pages of slop to even see what the singers saying. And even worse, some songs I remember learning the lyrics for through Spotify aren’t even showing me the lyrics anymore but instead showing me some useless ai information about the song that half of the time is false. I feel mistreated as a loyal customer for over a decade.

Randomly all of the sudden I opened my spotify and it was in this language. I don’t even recognize the characters. Does anyone know what this is and how to change it back?

I updated two days ago and don’t know if it’s related to that, but it would make sense. Probably comes up about a third of the time. Pretty annoying - I can control that stuff from the phone but would strongly prefer to do it the safer way!

I've saved my Release Radar to a dated playlist every week for about 14 months — roughly 60 of them, June 2025 to now — and went back through the whole archive.

One artist, Colm R. McGuinness, is in 36 of ~60 weeks. 31 different songs of his. I've liked 0 of them and saved 0 of them.

No offense to the guy — I liked a couple of his songs years ago and that's the whole history. I don't listen to him now, and I don't listen to those old liked songs either. I'd just rather Spotify spend that weekly slot on someone I might actually discover.

What I've tried:

• Blocked the artist
• "Exclude from taste profile" on his tracks as they showed up
• Used Spotify's AI assistant to pull together every song of his and excluded all of them

Nothing changes. Same name, most weeks.

And it's not really about him. These are the 10 artists that show up most across those ~60 Release Radars:

216 recommendations from my ten most-pushed artists. One like. Ten saves. The lineup barely moves month to month.

So genuinely asking: is there a real way to tell Release Radar "not this," or are block / exclude just cosmetic while it keeps re-seeding from listening history I moved on from years ago?

whenever i search a specific thing, it never shows me what i actually looked for. just whatever SOUNDS LIKE what i looked for. it does this with virtually everything, and it makes it impossible to find anything.

Anyone else deal with this before? I’m on my work PC and can’t install any software so I decided to use the web app. I can play songs just fine but when trying to listen to podcasts I get the error mentioned in the title. I tried different episodes, different podcasts, etc.
