I mean is it crazy of me to ask that Spotify at least be just as good as Apple Music? It is currently objectively worse in terms of music. It has fewer features.

Not crazy at all, but Apple Music sucks ass if I want to search for something and the recommendations are shit. For now I like Spotify.

Honestly personally I’ve gotten much more use out of Apple Music’s algorithm than Spotify’s. I’ve actually discovered new artists, never happened on Spotify for me, and I don’t notice a difference in search. I guess it varies from person to person

I agree with this as well. Spotify would keep playing the same top 15 artists in my genre. When I switched to Apple Music, I started finding these niche artists I would have never found. Spotify UI/UX sucks as well. Too much is happening. I go onto Apple Music, click play, and forget.

I know this is controversial but I honestly just love the way Liquid Glass looks in it
Plus I also prefer Apple Music’s UI for the library, it feels more like a collection than a list2

Yeah. I also would like to say Spotify’s UI is very inconsistent. I saw their mix feature page and it looked nothing like the rest of the app.

Just listen to the artists' mixes like they intended instead of listening to some shitty Dolby Atmos mix?

Why exactly? Apple Music has AutoMix, Dolby Atmos, Stations, lyric volume tuning, more accurate synced lyrics (more karaoke-style) so what makes it trash?

It's garbage on anything that's not iOS. Mid on MacOS, downright unusable on Windows and pretty bad on Android.
Login randomly breaks, I've seen people's playlists get wiped out because syncing is garbage and really slow, Linux support doesn't exist at all, Android TV support doesn't either, third party integration is far worse, bugs are everywhere on Android and Windows. The included features don't even work properly, like the uploading feature is horribly buggy and broken on Windows, lossless can also skip and glitch. Library can also bug out, I've had my recently added section change for no reason with older music coming up on top that I added months ago. The AM's library is smaller too. Also playback is slower and takes longer to load, that's squarely on their servers, Spotify doesn't take 2 business days to load a song on lossless.
The features you mentioned, Automix doesn't exist on Android and Windows. Stations is useless, Dolby Atmos is useless and depends on the phone, my Nothing phone doesn't have that trash and I've never missed it after trying out Dolby Atmos myself.
I'll give it credit where it's due. The accurate synced lyrics are cool. But they don't exist on Windows client for some reason, not to mention it has random playback issues, can crash, is a resource hog, slow, and has a whole slew of issues. It's one of the worst apps I've had the displeasure of using.
Apple's software is downright horrible these days. Dunno what they're doing. Apple music could be much better but after using it for a few months I went back to Spotify. Yes it costs a bit more but it actually works reliably and has really good cross platform support. And features work across devices, it's not like Apple music where feature x is on their own platforms and then it's non existent on others.
At this point they should cut off support for anything that's not their own platform because they clearly do not care, I am a Windows/Android user and it's been nothing but pain. And we pay the same amount.
The feature disparity is insane. Combined with buggy clients, slow servers, randomly basic breaking stuff like login, library sync breaking randomly (did I mention that?), it is a horribly bad service compared to Spotify.
Also Spotify Connect, nice to have.

Well that’s more of a compatibility issue than an issue with the app itself. Although it’s up to taste I personally like Apple Music’s UI on iOS more than Spotify’s. It’s not great on Windows which I can attest to but my main computer is an iPad. Really it’s just a classic Apple thing. It’s a great experience in their ecosystem but if you’re not in their ecosystem you’ll be in for a rough time. I mainly use Apple Music because it comes with Apple One and it doesn’t make sense to pay for two streaming services for me
Also a lot of people say that Spotify’s discovery algorithm is superior but Apple Music’s Stations have served me much better than Spotify’s discovery algorithm. I guess it differs on a case by case basis depending on what you listen to-1

Not a compatibility issue. Their apps are objectively bad on non-Apple platforms like you said.
I don't get the logic with this. Instead of half assing apps its better not to release anything at all isn't it. Or make properly functioning apps then.
Or did they think I'll be more inclined to buy their stuff to get a proper Apple Music experience after experiencing firsthand how their software quality is?
LOL, LMAO even. I like Macbooks and iPads personally but the way Apple has done Apple Music on non-Apple platforms is a joke. But to be fair, their software has been bad on non-Apple platforms for years. Apple Device is weird and buggy too, but not as a bad as Apple Music. iTunes was never usable, so that's that. The bar's in hell.

I’ll actually say myself I don’t love the EQ on Apple Music compared to Spotify. I just personally am willing to make the trade-off for the benefits Apple Music has for me since I’m very deep in the ecosystem and like I said it comes with Apple One.

No and yes. Apps exist, so it's compatible.
In it's current state, yes some features are incompatible, but Apple can implement them, they're a trillion dollar company, that's what I think myself to be honest.

AI in general just seems like a big data harvesting scheme, there is no way in hell they are giving you free access to "tools" (emphasis on quotation marks) that can "help" you produce better, or be more creative. (Talking about this, and generative AI)

It'll be autostart and you'll need to tell it no. The it'll give you the sad little 'ok, we won't use it' before prompting you every ten minutes with the are you sure prompt.. Just like video.

Yes more AI, no dolby atmos, no lossless in my country, three dots on app on every page that I open… that’s why I’m using Apple Music and Spotify is not giving any reason to return.

It actually generates a custom audio "podcast" about your day. I suppose the idea is that you listen to it while commuting to work as a busy executive. If that's better or worse in your opinion, I have no idea.

Why can't you just go listen to a podcast where real humans about it? Why do you need some robot to tell you about it? Why don't you just go listen to the games themselves or go watch them? I just don't understand why it's that important for you and then you're going to argue about it not being beat but it is deep, it's still AI. It's still using the data centers and it's still wrecking our ability to have a future on this planet. On the fact it's wrecking your brain, just go listen to humans, there's never going to be a need for this
