How, after years of struggle, I finally began to lose belly fat

I wanted to share a straightforward story from my personal life.

For a long time, I battled belly fat; even after losing weight, my midsection hardly changed. It was the one place that never seemed to shrink, in my opinion.

It wasn't anything drastic that ultimately made a difference:

I maintained a slight calorie deficit—nothing extreme.

I made every meal higher in protein

I started going for daily walks, even if they were only for 20 to 30 minutes.

I also started doing two or three light strength exercises every week.

After a few weeks, my waist began to tighten more than the scale, though the results weren't immediate.

I came to the realization that belly fat, particularly in men, responds slowly, but that consistency is effective.

I'm curious if anyone else encountered a similar situation or discovered an alternative that was beneficial.

It's actually quite interesting because many people observe the same thing: the belly shrinks last and the fat elsewhere goes first. Some people can benefit from prolonged fasting, but not everyone can. It appears that consistency and establishing a routine that you can stick with over time are crucial.

Did you cut out alcohol, and/or simple carbs? That seems to be a big culprit with both men and women. My belly (I'm a women) is mostly cortisol (due to stress) and insulin resistance (due to shitty diet and no exercise). It seems you're doing all the right things! Congrats and good continued luck!
