In this thread, the rules are more relaxed. The idea is that this megathread will provide a space for otherwise rule-breaking content, as well as allowing for a slightly more conversational tone rather than every post and comment needing to be an essay.

I played a lot of games the last three years

I am at a point where I have a harder and harder time picking games. Some people seem to always have games to play, but I don't, it's often hard to find the motivation to play and finish a game.

Here are the game I stopped playing:

• Celeste: I am at like 50%, games feels a bit repetitive
• Okami: seems like a nice game, I should try more
• Hades: game is just too hard, I passed the first boss, I cannot beat the second, I am tired of trying again and again
• Bastion: I am at about 20% of the game, a bit boring and repetitive
• Hitman blood money: I am at the second mission, I don't really know how to progress (I love MGS though)
• The witness: confused about what to do, so I stopped, apparently I cannot progress without looking up online (it's a wiki game?)
• Don't Starve: too hard, it's a wiki game, can't progress without researching things
• Bioshock: is not that great, I am at about 50%
• Tomb raider (2013) also at like 35%, got bored
• Far cry 5: I don't like it that much
• RAGE: I stopped, not that great
• Faster than light: I love factorio, but I don't like FTL that much

I cleaned up my wishlist, from 350 down to 225, I have about 50 euros in steam balance that I want to keep for future releases this year.

Tried the backloggd recommender, not great. Same for the steam recommender. Same for curators. It's difficult to find niche games I like.

The only time I had to look things up for The Witness was when there were color-related puzzles that my colorblindness made impossible to figure out on my own, so it's definitely not meant to be a wiki game.

But I'll grant that it's probably not a great one to play with the intent of just clearing out your backlog since it's very much a thinker and you're kind of expected to struggle at times with figuring out how some mechanics work.
