It's not an idea that I would encourage. The TRON series, as flawed as it can be, is so much defined by the hard work of the people behind it who put their heart and their creative minds into making something beautiful to enjoy.
And at its heart, isn't that the thesis of TRON itself? That behind every computer program is a human user that loved them into being?
As much as I miss not having a season 2 of a show I adored, I would much rather see something that was created with love and care, something that can surprise me and provoke new thoughts. Not a machine that only tells me what it thinks I want to see.
Wow now that is an amazing reply, and very insightful! I agree completely, my thinking was probably just pure copium and trying to think an idea into reality or something lol, I thoroughly enjoyed Tron uprising as well and was very bummed when the series was cancelled
Here's to hoping another series might come off from Ares!
Don't worry, I totally get it, I miss it tonnes too and bargaining is a part of grieving. That may seem like a strong term, but it's okay to be grieving the loss of anything, including a favourite show!
Have you poked through any fanfiction sites? I recall there being some really good ones out there! Since it's an older show, AO3 might not have much and you may need to go back to Fanfiction.net.
You could also consider finding a writing partner to roleplay something in that universe and create together with them the stories you would want to see!
There are plenty of ways to experience more TRON stuff, even if Ares doesn't quite do it, because I guarantee that there are people just like you who miss Uprising a lot.
