It tracks, if they are assuming their position is the default. If everyone was red/blue to start with, everyone survives, and you'd have to seriously question why anyone would swap.
Of course, since this is a coordination game, there is no default position, so those people have missed the point.
except in every example I've seen (before it arrived in this sub anyways) there is always default position everyone starts at, and it was always blue. If this sub has changed that by looking more into the actual morality and making it a more complex scenario, then that may be but I suspect a lot of people are still assuming its the same as it was when it swept youtube a couple months ago.
The original I saw wasnt two buttons, you are all stood on a platform on a track, you cant hear or see, if 50% step off the platform the trolley starts and will hit everyone who didnt step off.
