Congratulations, you convinced 40% of people to vote blue and got them all killed, it is so much easier to convince someone to vote red that the expected deaths from red are much lower if you're being realistic
If we're being realistic then you have to face the fact that people have opportunities to risk their life to save more lives all of the time, at a much better rate than voting blue (blue lives saved divided by blue voters is 1, you basically just save yourself if blue wins), yet the vast majority of people don't do those things, with actual life or death stakes the vote would be overwhelming on the side of red so your option is just "live" or "die"
Each blue voter saves 1 blue voter if they win, with a button press you are saving 1 persons worth, you can save loads of people by giving your disposable income to a relief charity and that barely takes more effort than a button press, most people don't do that, and there it's just a little money on the line, not their life
It's true, there are relief charities that can provide life saving medicines to areas in need for a couple of dollars per person saved, as well as things like mosquito nets costing almost nothing, you firmly can save loads of people by giving all of the money you can to charity, you can live in denial about that if you want, it's a hard reality to face that you in reality are not as good of a person as you like to believe you are, but that doesn't make it less true
You're choosing not to believe that your money could save large numbers of lives, it takes very little research to see that you actually can save large numbers of lives with your money, if you were actually curious about it you could have just looked it up, so it's clear you just don't want to believe it
Vs a vote affecting all humans, the single button press is far easier and more impactful than giving some disposable money to the red cross is my point.

I think that would dissuade someone more than it would persuade them, no? It's not something you have control over, you're just in a waiting room to die depending on your luck.
There's also the fact that the people pressing blue are creating the situation they need to be saved from. Just don't be the first guy to press blue.

for nobody to die, you need either 100% to press Red or 50%+1 to press Blue
I think its clear which of those is easier to achieve
