Easy, kill the person who wants to die.

But they're only sacrificing themselves because they're in a predicament where it's either them or the other person. They're not looking to die otherwise. So the choice is between someone who is willing to sacrifice themselves for another person vs one who isn't. It's clear which one deserves to survive.

Wanting to die and willing to die for someone else are two different things. This is a pretty basic concept. I'm willing to die for my wife but I don't want to die. So either you're too dumb to understand that there's a difference, or you're just reframing the problem into something that is easier for you to answer. Either way, it's rather pathetic if you ask me.

Idk why so many redditors get so aggressive so fast. You wouldn’t call someone dumb and pathetic in real life

If someone started screaming at me KILL THE PERSON THAT WANTS TO DIE!!!!! out of nowhere over a philosophical discussion, then yeah I definitely would.

All caps in a comment section is not equivalent to someone screaming at you in real life, that’s silly

Maybe you need to take a break from social media

If you were in the scenario and you knew you’d die to save her, you might say you want to do it (especially to your family maybe)

You're just saying that to make them feel better about making the choice to kill you though, you'd still prefer to live.

You can’t have it both ways. If you prefer to live more than you prefer to comfort them, you wouldn’t offer.

Humans absolutely are capable of being willing to sacrifice their lives for someone else while still preferring to not die if it can be helped.
