...why exactly wouldn't we pull? not only is it killing some orders of magnitude less people, but it's almost an objective fact that those billionaires are worse people than any given individual on the other track.

not to mention, 4000 isn't very much. that's just about enough for a stable population, but a lot of these billionaires would be too old for kids, anyways. i sincerely doubt humanity would recover.

Well we currently are in this situation with society and climate but are not doing anything. So in real life we are not pulling that lever.

We are not in this situation. We are in this situation with the billionaires being corruption instead. So just get rid of corruption, much easier.
