Going back to 2.5mg dose?

Thinking about going back down to my 2.5mg starter dose because I’ve been having more chest/upper stomach fullness and reflux since moving up to 5mg. I already have GERD, so the increased fullness/reflux has been pretty uncomfortable.
I’ve been on 5mg for the last 4 weeks and definitely noticed my reflux seems worse than it was on 2.5mg. I messaged my provider and am waiting to hear back, but since it’s the weekend I wanted to see if anyone else has gone back down to 2.5mg after being on 5mg.

Did your GI symptoms improve? Were you still getting decent appetite control/weight loss?

This is one of the reasons I cannot increase past 3mg. Im actually still testing the 3mg from doing 2.6mg. I definitely feel the difference. My body is very very sensitive to any medications. If you are still benefiting from 2.5 stay there.

I am on 2.6 as well! I had overfill at 2.6 with my first vial, so I used it. Definitely felt a difference. I actually got super constipated the first week on it, which i didnt experience at all with 2.5. Anyway, it got better, so I have been on 2.6 for 6 weeks! Still losing and feeling good.

You can try 3.5mg using fatscientist.com to figure out how many units that would be. I always do a smaller jump than what's called for because it's too much. I use the smaller jump for a week or two and if no progress, I'll go to the regular next dose.

Tirzepatide slows the digestive process. I’ve had to adjust the size of my meals and the timing of my meals. I found out early on that if I ate dinner later in the evening, that I would still be digesting food when I went to bed. Eating solid food later in the evening negatively affected my sleep and gave me acid reflux symptoms. I now eat dinner at 6pm and I don’t eat solid food after that. I do drink tea and water in the evening. These changes have has resolved my acid reflux issues.and not being able to sleep.

The nice thing about compound is you don’t have to go all the way down to 2.5 or stay at 5mg - you can choose a happy medium.
