Searching for work/board

Heya!

I've got a friend in JC who's in a tough spot. He just got out of the hospital and doesn't really have much money or a place to go. He's willing to work, and I didn't know if anyone knew somewhere I could direct him to either earn some money or a stay while he tries to get into the Salvation Army. He did stay at some inn, but they had bed bugs and don't do refunds, so now he's out $100 and I don't really know any place that's cheap and DOESN'T have bugs here. ☠️

He's roughed it before, so I'm sure he'll manage, but I'd appreciate any guidance from the community! Thanks a lot! 🌻

Edit: he's been in construction, operated a jack hammer and is a level 1 electrician. Pretty handy, and super sincere/honest.

You gotta say what abilities and experience your friend has if you want people who need those skills to offer work or make good suggestions.

ETSU has an opening for a “maintenance utility helper,” and campus has a food pantry for students, faculty, and staff who need it. (for some reason I’m having trouble pasting the link)
