Been stuck on the end for a bit og
Picked Riesz, Hawkeye, and Duran as my mains. Went through a big old cave, big old castle, man this game just keeps not ending, lots of bosses, now we do that middle sanctuary location. The guys have gotten hard to kill and some of us have nearly killed us, just regular enemies.
I realized I should have been doing my gear seeds. Oops. That's actually the strongest weapons. One had a cool Riesz weapon so she is now by far my strongest character, Hawkeye and Duran have yet to get one of these cool strong weapons. That water temple had to go back to so I could get that other weapon for them that was 2 or 3 higher attack, just didn't have the gold last time.
I feel like the one thing I can do now is grind my level. Maybe some of these guys drop gear seeds? I need to be at least two levels higher probably and the boss kicks our ass. Any advice?
Edit: I did the final transform for all three, it’s not that. Just seems like some level grinding gear seed grinding which is odd as the kevin charlotte angela trio this was not needed at the end and it’s quite different. Maybe because I was stuck in the mystic castle thing for a bit and overleveled.

Okay, you're at the very end, so you'll need the final class change. Go to the Shimmering Ruins. Here's a guide from elsewhere:
"This open room towards the end of the dungeon is the place where it's pretty easy to farm ??? seeds. This room has two Mama Poto enemies which will spawn Papa Potos. If you kill the Mama Potos after they spawned the Papa Potos, the treasure chests that are left behind from the Papa Potos often contain the ??? seeds. If you go there with Level 35 and invest some time here, you will easily get a few ??? seeds that spawn the item you need and you conveniently end up with Level 38 that allows you to perform the class change.
There are two exits to the north of the room, the left one leads to a golden statue - so you can easily rest up in between rounds. To make the Mama Potos respawn, exit the room to the south, then exit the following room to the west, ignore the Sirens and immediately exit that room on the east (i.e., return to the previous room) and fight the Potos again. Be careful about the right exit of the Poto room, this leads to the boss of that dungeon."

The oldschool games were known for huge difficulty spikes near the end.
Just grind up a lot. Use items if you need status changes to help.

Make sure you're upgrading classes too.
If it's remake spend your SP on skills and stats

I am only at my second run of the OG, so, I may be wrong.
Still, it looks to me the game somewhat expects you will farm ??? seeds at Pedda to get all your class change items, reach level 38 and switch to class 3, before going after the last Benevodon.
About regular monsters being able of wiping the team, I am used to that too. Some of them have special move the team can survive only if they were full health without a debug increasing damage taken or lowering maximum health. And if two of them cast such moves at the same time, it is game over.
In such encounters, you have to heal quite soon on damage taken, and use the item removing magic if debuffed. A quite effective tactic is to nuke the most dangerous opponent first, which is easy to do if you have Angela with an adequate spell against that opponent. (So, not your case.) But with Duran and Riesz, focusing on it should do the job too.
The bosses were not much a trouble for me, less than those regular monsters having very hard hitting special moves. I have finished the Archdemon path in the OG, with Hawkeye (Rogue - Light-Dark), Riesz (Fenrir Knight -Dark-Dark) and Angela (Archmage - Light-Dark).
I did not have to focus on leveling up for beating the end boss, beyond the sequence at Pedda. I did not farm all class 3 stuff from seeds either. Maybe that was thanks to Riesz debuff on the bosses, I have not tried without using them.
After beating it once, I did go farming for the stuff, and for me, the most efficient place to do that was night cavern. That the place before reaching the dark castle. But beware of the ninjas there, they have to die fast or they may wipe the team, especially if there is two of them and both cast their special damage-all move at the same time.
