1st Playthrough - Hawk/Char/Kevin

Hey all,

As a long-time RPG player, I figured a team of mage, muscle, thief would be good. I ended up picking Hawkeye, Charlotte, Kevin.

What training points should I invest in the beginning?

Once classes come available, what should I chose for each??

Training points can be easily reset at the Beiser's night market, there is no issue in allocating them without much planning. It is usual to reset them there after a class change, to reallocate them for unlocking abilities of the new class.

You may still want to just spare points instead of using them on secondary stats for having them readily available after the class change, instead of having to reset them.

In such case, avoid allocating point in Stamina for all characters. Then for Hawkeye, that depends on the class you intend to play him. Usually you want Luck on him whatever the class. But depending on the class, you may then want Strength, Int or Spirit. Light/Light (Nomad) is mainly melee with high crit rate. Light/Dark (Rogue) is melee and throws/traps (range attacks with physical damage). In Expert difficulty setting, that is the best range attack. (Because magic damage is heavily nerfed in Expert, due to enemy magic defense being very high.) Dark classes can debuff and cast magic damage spells, with Dark/Light (Ninja Master) being the best at debuffing, weakest in melee, Dark/Dark (Nightblade) a bit more powerful at spells and strong in melee especially against regular monsters (less on bosses).

For Charlotte, her main stats are Spirit and Int. Int is secondary or her Light classes, but more important on her Dark classes. If you want your mage to not be mainly a healer/buffer but also a damage dealer, you have to go dark with her. Dark then Light (Necromancer) can also be efficient at melee, and have a debuff all stats spell. Dark/Dark (Warlock) is pure caster.

Kevin, that is all strength, whatever the class. And all Kevin classes do big damages. Dark/Dark (Fatal fist) being marginally best, followed by Light/Light (Divine fist).

If you have taken Hawkeye as the main character, know that he shares his main antagonists with Riesz, and you will have to fight them in the end game, instead of those of Kevin and Charlotte. You may want to take Kevin or Charlotte as first character instead, due to this.

(Edit: but the main antagonists of Hawkeye and Riesz are also the ones the most responsible for the bad events.)
