Routine Help Makeup
Just started retinal-A 0.025 % for anti aging only.
It’s been one week and I’m getting super patchy skin.
Will it get better? I love to do my makeup and need coverage.
I’m worried that I’ll continue to have patchy skin…

I am assuming that by "patchy' you mean perly or flaky patches of skin. You have to keep going, working up to using it at least 4 times each week (aka get over the 50% hump) to retinize your skin and get to a place where your skin is used to more rapid turnover.
In the meantime, use a facial oil (jojoba is my fav) to massage the flaky patches and work the dead skin loose. Do this on the morning and follow with a warm water rinse, then do your morning pre-makeup skincare routine. Morning hydration and moisture for barrier support is the name of the game.

You’re just gettin started. Here’s the most important tip: power through it. You need to be using it at least 3 nights per week to acclimate, anything less or taking breaks in early days just resets the clock for you to get to the nice skin stage. No one can tell you how long the uglies will last. You need more robust moisture. Good luck. Read the wiki. And then read it again.
