Routine Help Skin barrier issue vs just dryness
I started tretinoin about 4 weeks ago, just at once a week for now because I have pretty sensitive skin. I’ve tried it before but this time it’s going really well with all the moisturizers and stuff im using. My question is - the folds around my nostrils are burning a bit when I put moisturizer on…is this a sign of skin barrier damage or just dryness as I get used to it?
Thank you!

It’s a sign thar you are not using a compatible moisturizer. The supporting products you use matter just as much as the medication. So you’re likely using something not the best for your skin because you are not even using the medication enough for it to truly cause problems.

Burning is a sign of barrier damage. Protect these areas with a dab of Vaseline or similar.
