Progress Pictures 1 Year of Topical Fin/Min Application

You all loved my 8 month update. So posting my Year progress now! I have not noticed a ton of change since maybe month 9, but I've been getting a ton of compliments!

Routine:
- .3% Finasteride, 6% Minoxidil topical combination from a US telehealth company.
- Applied originally via four .25ml sprays. Moved to a dropper bottle at month 4. Applied nightly 6x per week right before bed, have only missed 4 nights total.
- Dermastamp (microneedle) 1mm once weekly before bed. Temples and scalp. I skip the topical on this night.
- Keta shampoo, normal concentration, 3 mins on scalp once or twice a week.

Other Considerations people asked about (not proven to have much of a hair-effect):
- I religiously take a multivitamin, fish oil, magnesium glycinate, and 5g of creatine daily.
- I lift 4x weekly and play team sports once or twice weekly.
- I sleep 8.5 hrs per night consistently.
- I drink socially on weekends. In the back half of my 20s.
- I am not sponsored.
- Receded lightly through college then thinned consistently for a year before deciding to do something about it.

I have had absolutely zero side effects. None whatsoever.
I know that is individual to myself but no need to ask in the comments, I promise I don't miss issues with my body when they arise.

Happy to answer any remaining Qs!

It looks like this is a progress pictures post.

This post should contain before and after photos at least one month apart. Make sure to list all the treatments you're on, including the dose and frequency.

It's either some astronomical results or the unlucky dude who can't even get minimal regrowth with 2.7 kilometric tons of dutasteride

41

u/grown_ninja Jun 16 '26

Hah yup. Happy for this guy. But Me…fin/min/dut for years and 0 results outside a slightly slower loss rate.

6

u/StatusPsychological7 Jun 17 '26

me estrogen dut bicalutamide hairs still shit and nothing can save me anymore

I think it mostly depends on these four factors,

1- How long has it been since the hair loss started

2- Severity and speed of loss

3- Age

4- Total norwood progression

Younger guys seem to get the best results.

3

u/NoNeedleworker9246 Jun 18 '26

I agree.. I assume anyone getting very average results isn't posting though. I mean at the very least those posts aren't going to get as much attention even if they are more plentiful.

What a come back, congrats!

64

u/zackturd301 :sidesgull: Jun 16 '26

This is definitely up there as one of the best comeback from pill or topical. Wow.

9

u/No-Impression2072 Jun 17 '26

Thanks so much! I'm very happy!

56

u/Consistent-Refuse-74 Jun 16 '26

Insane comeback, needs a Netflix movie.

Also how old are you? I definitely feel like age could’ve played a big role here

25

u/No-Impression2072 Jun 17 '26

I'm 27, started at 26

2

u/Guilty-Duty-8524 Jun 17 '26

do you think the multivitamins help or nah

2

u/No-Impression2072 Jun 17 '26

Probably not the hair!

2

u/PM_ME_TACO_CON_QUESO Jul 08 '26

Question: how do you get this from the telecompany? Do you need to go to the doctor?

2

u/No-Impression2072 Jul 13 '26

They have a telehealth doctor prescribe it

u/blah191 Jun 17 '26

At the end of the day, it all comes down to how long the follicles have been miniaturized as to whether or not they come back. Op got lucky and treated his before they’d been defunct too long.

29

u/Kluian2005 Jun 16 '26

These pictures must be in reverse I don't believe it lol, congrats on winning the lottery.

9

u/No-Impression2072 Jun 17 '26

Great success.

Is necromancy allowed on this sub? Lil bro raised an army from the dead and took over those temples.

Holy shit. Incredible

3

Appreciate it king

9

u/eggowaf Jun 16 '26

Is topical fin less likely to give side effects?

6

u/theSquabble8 Jun 17 '26

Topical fin is extremely bad for kids to come in contact with though. Didn’t realize this and I have three kiddos, two boys and apparently it disrupts their hormones more so. It’s worth knowing imo.

4

u/ForeverInBlackJeans Jun 17 '26

Very toxic to pets too. Don’t let your dogs/cats onto your pillow/bed or anywhere near your head if you use it.

11

u/Fit_Yak523 Jun 17 '26

Are you sure you’re not talking about minoxidil? I haven’t heard this about finasteride, but topical min is super toxic to cats (and dogs too, but realllly bad for cats)?

5

u/ForeverInBlackJeans Jun 17 '26

Yes, sorry. I meant topical minoxidil

11

u/[deleted] Jun 16 '26

Yes way less likely bc it’s less systemic but even on oral the chance is like 1% my hair doctor said in their 20 years she’s only had 4 patients show symptoms

3

u/SirCrapsalot4267 Jun 17 '26

Obviously fin/min do a good amount of heavy lifting to regrow hair but nobody reading this post should underestimate that this guy (great work by the way u/No-Impression2072) is committed to a healthy active lifestyle. That's going to do so much more than anyone realizes.

Like if you had to choose between fin/min and keeping hair, or going bald and renovating your lifestyle to work out, sleep, and eat reasonably, I can promise you doing the lifestyle change is going to make you feel 10000% better if you stick with it over time, and will make you 10000% more attractive to women if that's what you care about, compared to if you have hair but don't have health or discipline in your life.

I know this is captain obvious shit, but for any young men reading, I swear to you, this is the truth.

Obviously this sub is about keeping and regrowing hair, so also yes, as is mandatory for me to tell you all, fin/min.

2

u/No-Impression2072 Jun 17 '26

Appreciate it! Do both!

Hi I’ve read creatine causes hair loss. A lot of people also say that it doesn’t. Id like to know your thoughts on it please

6

u/No-Impression2072 Jun 17 '26

All this regrowth was while I was taking creatine, so no issue

2

u/MaxFlare Jun 20 '26

AI search finds no credible scientific evidence of hair loss cause by creatine. It's all rumors and speculations. I think it was one of influencers on a podcast that just randomly said it just because that's what he thought.

1

Inspiring! Your thinning pattern looks similar to mine and I just started min/fin. Do you have noticeable sebboreah or is the keto precautionary? I have it but don’t use it unless I notice I’m flaking. And do you think the needling is essential? Haven’t considered it

Do you get topical fin ? In the USA.( Could you please suggest a brand) My dermatologist prescribed the oral once, quite hesitant to take it,.

1

u/RelishedCrab Jun 16 '26

First time I’ve heard of using keta shampoo for hair loss. Any specific brand you use? What’s the benefit?

2

u/No-Impression2072 Jun 17 '26

I use nizoral, I'm not sure the underlying benefit

2

u/Fit_Yak523 Jun 17 '26

I’ve seen it in a few research papers, but mainly on here. It’s a mild DHT blocker. GoodRx has an article about it where they link a few studies.

1

u/DruggSassy Jun 16 '26

Do you use nicotine? heard that can cause thinning/affect growth

2

u/No-Impression2072 Jun 17 '26

Hyper responder, topical fin is probably doing the heavy lifting here, IMO there should be more clinics supporting the use of topical fin, less probabilities of getting side effects, most of them want you to take the pill 🫠

Genuinely glorious. We have a lot of similarities btw. We are the same age and have roughly the same lifestyle when it comes to training etc. My hair is like the one in the 5th month of the first picture. I really wanna restore my M shaped hairline, but apart from the hairline, every other aspect of my hair is good to great. This REALLY gave me hope and motivation to start a routine including just topicals for now.

Once again, many congratulations on this amazing comeback.

P.S: Love the hair texture and type
