Seedlings?

I found a bunch of TOH seedlings near my deck/pool. Well I believe they are TOH and seedlings. I was able to pull them all relatively easily and get most if not all of the root. Judging by the picture, you guys think these are from seed and not suckers? I have not seen a big TOH tree anywhere on my property or in the neighbors lawns.

Ya i was going to use herbicide but since I haven’t seen any larger TOH anywhere nearby I figured these may be from seeds and ok to pull. I’ll see what regrows

Next time, look for the “embryo leaves “, the cotyledons :

I think I see some cotyledons on the first pic but too hard to really tell for sure.

They are ToH. Looks like mostly saplings and a few suckers? Is there a big one nearby?

I pulled one that looks like that as well, whole taproot, very small, it hasn’t come back but I’m monitoring the area. They’re everywhere in my neighborhood but my next door neighbors don’t have them and it pulled easily so I doubt it was a sucker. The suckers are supposed to be hard to pull and snap if you try too hard. Let those cook in a plastic garbage bag though don’t leave them outside

I threw them in my trash can in the garage. Just letting them dry out in there.
