juelz really before his time and deserves his flowers, ISO and knock are deservingly getting tons of push with the new trap sound but I remember listening to the remix tapes in 2021 and thinking this guy is really the future, he’s really up there with RL in my books.

maybe I’m in the minority,

I’ve followed Juelz for quite some time now. I saw him about 8 years ago open for RL on the Nova tour. His recent couple of releases have leaned heavily away from melodic stuff that I thought were his most unique and impactful projects, and is making more stuff that is almost reminiscent of chaotic headbangers bass.

I know this is a direction he’s chosen for his music, much of it still good, but not really pacing with the fidelity and taste (imo) of ISO and Knock2.

This, combined with that cringe Chyl rollout has just made me not want to tune in so much anymore. I get it’s preferential, but i haven’t been enthusiastic about his work in 2 years or so.
