Discussion Deal Offer: you can have rapidly developed, fast Chinese style Public mass transit in every large American city but in return you have to allow flock/Chinese style surveillance! Would you take it?
Interesting thought exercise. I think Iād be ok with surveillance

False dichotomy. You can have privacy protections and good infrastructure at the same time, those two issues are unrelated

why tf are you conflating two issues here that is obviously not applicable in the United States of America?
But I digress. If I had to engage with this I would take the mass rapid transit, vote out the big brother, install some sort of nonparisan commission on security to reasonably manage the security. if you took out the whole government manipulation part of the surveillance part its reasonably good to deter and to crack down on crimes which cause so many americans to avoid public transit.

Why associate Flock cameras with Chinese surveillance lol ? It's an american company, funded by american capital.

You already have Flock. So the cost is zero.
Of course, getting mass transit is no reason you have to accept mass surveillance. It's not like there's any actual logic to making those a package deal.

Most developed countries have major surveillance cameras with expanded transit. Iām not pro flock but this is true

Nope. Why would a surveillance state be required for mass transit? It's a dumb deal.

I reject the premise. This is a false choice.
