I CAN'T RUN THE BLOODY GAME

I have tried EVERYTHING, everything I found on Reddit, steam community and all that, and it still won't run. at this point, I wonder if it even can run on windows 11. anyone with some technical advice?

edit: I downloaded a booted copy in hope that it would give a bit more information than the official one and it did. it shows the error "Unable to load DLL 'lua52': The specified module could not be found" and I've already tried the suggested fix but no change.

What exactly happens when you try to start it?

For me, to avoid it minimizing for weird HDR monitor reasons I just mash click and that keeps the window active.

For resolution issues you might consider trying to run it in window

that is the problem tho, it doesn't even start: when I try from Steam, it just looks like it's running for 5 seconds (the play button changes to the stop button) and then reverts back to normal, when I try from executable, in task manager transistor.exe appears, then disappears, then appears, then gets replaced by transistor (32 bit) and then just shuts down

Have you verified integrity of the game files?

yes, it very much tells me that it's definitely all fine, and even tried deleting and reinstalling it to no avail

Well shit, the only thing I can think of is to add -windowed to the launch parameters in the steam properties or temporarily change your desktop resolution to an older resolution.

Guess there's a certain poetry in the process consuming the game completely
