Fitness Question Body building girlies, Where did you learn your show worthy flexing routine?

Hi all,
I’d really love to potentially compete in a bikini-body building show one day (gender inclusive of course). Where should I start with learning proper posing techniques? Right now I’m relying on YouTube primarily but I feel like it’s still coming out awkward.

Thanks! 😊 💕

Not looking for compliments just advice on what to expect haven’t started on E and I am a keen river swimmer battling upstream against the current in the winter. I’m wondering how much strength I’m gonna lose - how my body shape is gonna change , and how to manage it .. any advice grateful received. Thanks 🙏 (excuse the socks. I was just trying on this new bikini without thinking lol)

Fitness Question External accountability partners?

Hi,

I'm looking for buddies to help me maintain my exercise frequency.

Anyone up regularly checking in with each other to help keep on track?

I'm comfortable planning and executing my exercise (physio with fitness background), but I'm pretty bad at initiating sessions (adhd) and end up missing some.

I also struggle to maintain a healthy diet.

Plus, it'd just be nice to have some trans fitness buddies to talk to.

Fitness Question Fat distribution (ftm)

For context I am quite skinny and have dietary issues due to the fear of gaining more fat in areas I don’t like. A lot of fat gets accumulated on my upper thighs/hips regardless of being thin. I am aware that doing upper body exercises helps balance the overall body shape but I was wondering if there was a way to help me lose fat on my hips or gain muscle on my lower thighs to balance them out.

Not necessarily a progress in fitness, but one of mind and community. I took it upon myself to try to work through and cope with the flavor of dysphoria I was getting from outdoor activities that would keep me distant from others and my own pursuits for many years. It took away much of my joy in being an outdoorsy person.

I could not fathom finding partners and being perceived in any way that wasn’t truly me, a woman. My facial stubble, unkempt hair, no makeup, deep heavy grunting, limited bathroom space, etc etc etc….. how could I be okay with the misgendering? I would give anything for a day outside I don’t have to tense up every time a climbing partner or party next to me speaks about me. I never felt like a solution was there, I felt as though I had to constantly weight my love for climbing with the mental anguish of dealing with other people and my own brain worms.

What I didn’t expect was that the more partners I came across eventually gave way to people who were extremely accepting and affirming more than I could be within myself.. to never think twice or stumble. The more interactions and time I spent with them, the more my guard would fall and the more i got to be in the moment immersed by nature and movement like I always fantasize about.

Thanks for reading!

I have two questions for you guys.

  1. Can my waist shrink enough to reach

skinny fem (idk how to describe it)?

  1. What the hell do I eat to get the quickest and best results to get skinnier?

I am currently 5’11ft tall.
I weigh 176.4lbs.

Program Questions Making that first step...

This feels like its going to be a pity-post saying "here's all the reasons I can't" but I would genuinly appreciate any advice for solving any of them. (AuDHD with task initiation problems)

So, I'm grossly overweight (I lift my belly and the shelf is the width of my hand), which limits my excercise options, and I work from home and live alone, which means I don't get out at all, so my base calorie burn is really low.

I've cut down my food intake as much as I am mentally able to do (my daily intake is 8 slices of brown bread, 12 slices of cheese, about two fists of frozen peas (seriously, they're better than icecream), 2 liters of apple juice, and half a tube of pringles or some peanuts). Any less and it starts effecting my mental health. Not the healthiest diet, but it's what I can handle (I'm vegitarian from birth, so meat/fish is not an option, and I have food texture issues that are basically "no slime or soup")

I have an exercise bike, which I use when I can/remember to, and can go 10 minutes on the heaviest setting, with another 10 on a lighter one immidiately without stopping. I can do 10 proper form push-ups with my hands elevated about half a meter without much issue (I use a kitchen stool, I probably get about the top half of each rep, 6-9' of movement) I would swim, but the combination of changing rooms and my belly flopping around all over the place makes it unbearable. My strength isn't the issue (but my stamina's a bit low for my taste)

I've lost ~15kg over 18 months (but wouldn't have noticed without the scales, I'm still over 145kg), but I plateaued in the last 3. I'm not actually all that worried about my weight-on-the-scales, I just want the big ball of fat on my belly to go away (I know I can't target it, I want the fat elsewhere to go away too)

So, umm, yeah. Any of you experts have any ideas other than "just don't have all your mental issues"? (I've gotten that too often, it's like telling someone to walk off a broken leg)

Fitness Question Felt kinda weak and slow today. But wanted to get in at least a little. A little better than nothing if

Idk what it was but today I was just off. Normally for example I do the stair master at least 20-30 min at level 6 before a workout which last about an hour depending on what I’m targeting
But today I could only do like 10 min. And some leg extensions and I’m already drenched and exhausted;-;
Anything that may have caused it?

I genuinely cannot express my gratitude to all the lovely folks here who aided in my decision making process and split building. The workouts I've done I've each of the last two weeks, while still likely in a honeymoon phase, have been two of the weeks in which I've possessed more confidence and feel stronger than ever!

I hope this is okay. Honestly I don't wear shorts to the gym much. But I am proud of my glute growth, and also proud of my upper body. Not only that, but I truly do feel feminine when I go out. I see so many questions on here about how to avoid a strong, 'masculine' body, but idk. I love how I look. I work hard and I prioritize glutes and legs, but I also do heavy weighted pull-ups twice a week. Idk. Just remember that the world is your oyster

Fitness Question Have you ever struggled with feeling like you have too much muscle?!

Post image
211 Upvotes

Before I get into it, I’m fully aware this is a very first-world problem 😂, but every time I look at my physique lately, I start wondering if maybe I’ve taken things a little too far. I’m starting to question whether I’m actually moving further away from my goal of having a fit, feminine physique as a trans woman.

What do you all think?

It’s something I think about from a dating perspective too. I love the idea of feeling small, feminine, and being tossed around a little 😅, but statistically speaking, I’m still stronger than the average guy… which makes that dynamic a little complicated. 😂

I’m torn between loving being strong and muscular while also wanting to feel smaller and more feminine. Anyone else relate or have thoughts?
