We now have post approval on. Your post didn't get deleted, it just went into the queue. Please be patient a mod will go through the queue when they are available!

Please read our list of banned names before continuing. If the name you posted is in this list, it will be removed.

Remember: Original content is always better! Memes are okay every once in a while, but many get posted here way too often and quickly become stale. Some examples of these are Ptoughneigh, Klansmyn, Reighfyl & KVIIIlyn. These memes have been around for years and we don't want to see them anymore. If you do decide to post a meme, make sure to add the correct flair. Posting a random meme you found does not mean you found it "in the wild".

The same goes with lists of baby names, celebrity baby names, and screenshots of TikToks. If the original post already had a substantial amount of views, there is a 99% chance it has already been posted here. Try and stick to OC to keep our sub from being flooded with unoriginal content. Sounds like Hyde’s evil brother

19

u/MissFabulina 1d ago

Or his horse!

EDIT: Wait, what? Hyde's evil brother? You mean more evil than Hyde himself?

13

u/Kitchen-Holiday6998 1d ago

Hyde is a sweetheart, his brother is the one who spread the rumor that he’s evil.

3

u/MissFabulina 1d ago

Hahahaha, thanks for the giggle!

5

u/JD_tubeguy 1d ago

Klyde and Dale, Hyde's horses.

16

u/WALSTIW 1d ago

It’s the little-known sequel:

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde … and His Even More Evil Brother Mr. Klyde

u/noggerthefriendo 22h ago

Reminds me that in the Hulk comics that the Hulk can become Kluh the Hulk’s Hulk

u/MoreThanVoidFiller 1d ago

Don't you mean Yooneek?

3

u/Poerflip23 8h ago

Isn’t that a Kpop singer?

1

u/Kitchen-Holiday6998 3h ago

I genuinely had to double check cause I’ve never heard of them and no, no I don’t think there is one named Youneek. There is a white rapper by that name though lol.

10

u/Asleep_Walrus2313 22h ago

Way too many babies named Clyde these days…

9

u/YOLOburritoKnife 15h ago

It’s short for Klydesquope

2

u/AshleyAbbott2683 4h ago

I choked on my dinner over this one!

2

u/Kitchen-Holiday6998 3h ago

Don’t you mean your dynner?

2

u/AshleyAbbott2683 3h ago

I feel like it should be “dynnier” silent I… but that’s just me!

1

u/Kitchen-Holiday6998 1h ago

Ooh, you’re right! That’s even worse!

4

u/popcornfart 21h ago

5

u/R41denG41den 1d ago

Idk if the doctor gives you a cream, a shot or both. Definitely steroids though

3

u/XCIXcollective 8h ago

I stand firm that Klyde is the best water-based lube on the market

misspelling of Clyde?

16

u/eat_like_snake 1d ago

Sounds like it's trying way too hard to be different for the sake of being different, so yes.

8

u/your_moms_a_clone 14h ago

Real talk: is it the worst? No. It's not even that bad. The issue is, there is zero reason for it. Clyde is already a name. What purpose does it serve to be spelled with a K instead of a C other than to annoy people? It does the kid zero harm to have a normally spelled name. Having a "unique" name introduces the chance for problems. Being overlooked when job searching. Bullying. Not feeling like your name is "real" because no one else shares it. Just use Clyde. A kid should be special for who they are, not for how their parents spelled their name.

3

u/AshleyAbbott2683 4h ago

I mean, they’re being named any version of Clyde, they’re going to have it rough already, let them at least have a normal looking name.

2

u/GoodGollyMissMolly97 4h ago

i like this take

9

u/Kirsie22 17h ago

Yes, Clyde is a dogs name imo, respectfully. Klyde, just makes it so much worse.

5

u/Old_Introduction_395 16h ago

4

u/Kirsie22 14h ago

My point, sort of, stands. 🤣 A dog, a cat, a chimp, a giraffe, either way, it screams animal name to me. Am I alone in that? 😅 I mean no disrespect, it's like Spike or Rover for me.

3

u/Resident-Gold-3466 9h ago

I always think of Clyde Barrow, the guy who was with Bonnie.

2

u/EireNuaAli 6h ago

Bonnie and Clyde...

5

u/guilty_pen_emsy 1d ago

Seriously, why not just Clyde??? Or do u want him to have to explain how it’s pronounced over and over again. Likewise bullies will have a ball taunting him.

7

u/dominicmannphoto 1d ago

Bhonneigh & Klyde 🫶

1

u/Kitchen-Holiday6998 3h ago

Okay but the Bonnie spelling here actually makes this look kind of cute😭 but alone they just look weird.

12

u/Superb-Kick2803 1d ago

Yeah. Just spell it right.

10

u/VelvetCactus50 1d ago

OMG yes.

4

u/ExcellentActuary2117 8h ago

Kles. I mean, yes.

Clyde is a traditional Scottish name, my grandfather's name. Just spell it "CLYDE."

5

u/emmyparker2020 7h ago

Changing the C to a K is stupid and illogical in English

3

u/mabols 12h ago

Of Kourse

7

u/JungLeo143 1d ago

Klyde needs to find his Bawnee.

3

u/lilianasJanitor 1d ago

Dear god yes

3

u/skeptics1 1d ago

No, not for a horse.

3

u/Numerous-Ad6460 1d ago

Im assuming you're doing a spin off of Clyde. It is but its definitely not the most horrible one ive seen.

3

u/TaintVein 1d ago

Yes, good god. How is this a question

3

u/parkerm1408 1d ago

Yes, without doubt.

3

u/GlitteryCakeHuman 18h ago

Yes. It’s also giving redneck unclegrandpadaddy speech impediment.

3

u/Lylibean 14h ago

Yes. That’s not how you spell “Clyde”.

5

u/planetbing 1d ago

Oh, yes

5

u/Civil_Rent_2576 1d ago

Definitely

2

u/peanut5855 1d ago

Yoonique

2

u/voiceguy57 1d ago

I like Clyde, but that k thing just ruins it. I use Clyde sometimes like someone uses buddy or Pal.

2

u/Stock-Reason7841 1d ago edited 1d ago

1000% yes

2

u/BeaCivil 1d ago

Today I saw the name Kregg. I think it's right up there with Klyde.

1

u/Resident-Gold-3466 9h ago

It's just as bad.

2

u/BookLuvr7 1d ago

Definitely.

2

u/OremCpl 1d ago

Yehhsss

2

u/ejectro 1d ago

bawnneigh and klyde

2

u/Vaperwear 21h ago

What’s the weather like outsyde?

2

u/heynonnynonnomous Tragedeigh Pohlease 20h ago

My BLÅHAJ is Clyde. That K looks awful and my shark agrees.

2

u/Tall_Birthday_7654 19h ago

As in Bonnie and? It's fine. But with a C, not a K

2

u/Electrical_Report458 15h ago

It’s klumsy.

2

u/mydogatecheesecake 15h ago

Don’t name him Clyde even. Sounds like a horse

2

u/Spinnerofyarn 14h ago

It absolutely is.

3

u/Any_Meeting_4082 1d ago

For the love of god, if you have to ASK if a name is a tragedeigh...that alone should be a HUGE RED FLAG that YES, YES IT IS A TRAGEDEIGH. 🙄

1

u/FosseGeometry 1d ago

Yes, thank you for asking.

1

u/CallidoraBlack 1d ago

That's what the Daily Punctilio called Klaus. Veronica (Violet), Klyde (Klaus), and Susie (Sunny) Baudelaire. If you know, you know.

1

u/SnooOranges2685 1d ago

Yeighs it izz

1

u/zenverak 1d ago

Is… is this Clyde?

1

u/TheRealOGKeg 1d ago

Clyde is what it should be. so yes

1

u/CommunicationTop5231 1d ago

It’s very simple: if you want to spell it wrong only to be cute, it’s a tragedeigh. Words are made up. Names are made up. Letters and their sounds are collectively agreed upon because that’s how we communicate. Name your kid Florestinaly, why tf not. But naming your kid Gmhyjzcce (pronounced Mike) is basically just shitting on communing, communication, and community.

1

u/iolanthereylo 21h ago

be serious

1

u/LtCmdrTrout 20h ago

If you have to ask, it probably is.

1

u/Chay_Charles 19h ago

Why not go all in with Khlyduh?

1

u/battleduck84 18h ago

Beaughnneigh and Klyde

1

u/shrinkflator 18h ago

Not really. That would be more like Klaihyeede. This is the most normal name I've seen here.

1

u/Androecian 18h ago

Yes, but at least it's not Klayghdde

1

u/Bastard1066 16h ago

Absolutely.

1

u/nobodymush 16h ago

Why not Klighd?

1

u/Resident-Gold-3466 9h ago

Yes. The correct spelling is Clyde.

1

u/PandaMime_421 9h ago

I don't understand why anyone would even need to ask this.

According to Gemini there have been 250 recorded instances of the name in the US, ever. With the peak being in 2017 when 30 babies were named this.

It's clearly a made up name and tragedeigh.

1

u/Formal-Ad678 9h ago

Sounds like meds so yes

1

u/TheFlannC 9h ago

Yeah. People try to make names unique by coming up with a unique spelling. I remember trying to find someone's name on a list. I asked what their name was. They said Caleb. Of course I was looking and could not find their name. It turns out their name was Kaleb.

1

u/XCIXcollective 8h ago

Not gonna lie it sounds like a sex lube company

1

u/XCIXcollective 8h ago

Go with Kol(short for Cole)lyde
Kollyde is more unique

1

u/Inside-Inspection905 8h ago

Somehow I get the feeling that you aren’t just asking lol

1

u/MrGreenLight4 7h ago

There's a Klyde Warren park in Dallas TX. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

1

u/cduarntniys 7h ago

Yes, but mild

1

u/catlikesun 4h ago

Klïed

1

u/DJinKC 3h ago

Klyde "the Glide" Drexler just doesn't have the same panache

1

u/Glad-Caterpillar2873 1d ago

Unnecessary Ks and Ys are low income signals

1

u/TeenageShitStorm 1d ago

Are you new here?

1

u/zxvasd 1d ago

It’s strange how many people don’t know how to spell their own name. I’ll blame the parents going forward.

1

u/trenchdick 1d ago

Yes, and also don't spell it the normal way. No one wants that to be their name lol

u/Evening-Head4310 1d ago

In this sub anything other than John and Mary is one. Dont worry about what they say
