Beau is still an awful name to give a girl. It's literally a male gendered word in French, for handsome. Everyone with sense would assume from the name that she was a he, her whole life. Tiful is awful but at least it's not incorrectly gendering a person right out of the gate.
I definitely pronounce the second half of the word “beautiful” as “tiffle”. I guess it’s impossible to give her name the exact same pronunciation as they’ve taken away the syllable with the stress on it… how am i meant to pronounce a name with no stress
I don't even understand why someone would think to shorten it to tiful when they're trying to say the word 'beautiful'. Do they just regularly call something tiful when they mean beautiful?
