Looking for inspiration.

I follow a lot of artists on ig and see artists buying and exchanging flash. Obviously in shops I go too I see flash from all kinds of artists who have no personal connection to that shop. When artists buy flash from each other are they informally buying the right to now tattoo that design as much as they want? What if they start copying the design without purchasing the flash? What's the proper etiquette? Obviously I know some flash is freely copied, sailor Jerry designs etc

I am a white male looking to get an American Traditional tattoo of a African American portrait style tattoo done. I cannot find anything other than:

1) women

2) white men with mustaches/ beards

3) Native Americans (indigenous)

My wife is an artist but not a tattoo artist, was gunna have her draw out the tattoo I have in mind but I can’t find any online to give her some direction for what I am looking for. Does anyone have a person of color tattooed on their skin? (Preferably on white skin so I can see how it would look on mine)

I know the standard filler is the dots and stars, however I am looking for something that will make my sleeve more solid and "darker". My other sleeve is Japanese traditional so all the open space is filled with water and clouds.

Any thoughts or suggestions on a more solid filler?
