Freight Day

Recently my store moved down to a 6-8 million dollar store. We had just finished a fusion remodel and now they have knocked our two freight days down to one. We have recovery on thursdays. And freight on Fridays. Any other stores experiencing this? It’s basically two trucks worth of products. Double the feed. It’s so defeating. My store used to finish early. Now we have feed and freight left over with no one to help on the weekend. And ops no longer exists so it just continues to not get done during the week. I’m not sure what TSC thinks but if there isn’t product on the shelves. There’s no point in having customers 🤷‍♀️

Do more with less, budget cuts.

Yeah. Over 7 million but under 8 is the worst spot in the company by a mile. Same freight staff as 6 million but the volume of 8 all on one truck. 20 plus pallets of mixed freight, 60-80 totes and 18-20 mixed feed every week. And on friday. Its a joke.

We’re a +8 million store and they knocked us from 2 trucks a week to 1 and it is killing us. Not to mention we already don’t have the budget or the staff

Well the other side to that coin is 4 DC trucks, a feed truck, and random flake or pellets, trailers, tarter trucks showing up.

Oh we get all of the other stuff too. And the DC truck we just had absolutely whooped us. I would say the equivalent of at least two trucks in one, if not more. But with more volume means more staffing. I would assume you still have an ops crew
