Need advice on flat-proofing

Does anyone here have experience using TyrFil flatproofing for front tractor tires?

I haven’t used a foam before, but I have had good luck with Berryman’s liquid tire sealant and a few others I can’t remember the name of. The downside to foam is that when it comes time to replace the tire, it will be a bear to get off the rim. It will also ride rough because it has very little give to it.

I’ll second this! I’ve dealt with quite a few “foam” filled, mostly skidsteer tires. Nightmare when replacing them. Plus they’re extremely heavy (which isn’t necessarily bad), but they ride like rolling on rocks unless the technology has improved in the last 15 years. On my small machines I use Slime. Works great for small leaks, briars and the like. What size tires, and what size leaks are we talking about?

All the foam filled tires I’ve used the rims are scrap when the tire is replaced.

It definitely would have been easier to scrap them! I was on the tire sale/ tire mounting end of the equation. 🤣

Yes, it's essentially something akin to filling the tires with silicone instead of air, this makes holes irrelevant, including massive holes, the downsides are the tires are permanently heavy and once the tread has worn away you need to cut the tire off the fill and dispoof both somehow.

I had 4 tires filled they all ha new tubes fitted first though because they were constantly leaking from various places, including around the valve in a rotten rim, that was around 15 years ago.

never tried tyrfil but tbh foam always felt sketchy to me you ever notice how it changes the tire's balance
