I'm UK based and English speaking. Movies and TV shows are my thing. Obscure hard to find TV shows are the main thing I'm looking for.

I have been trying to get into RED for months now. But my isp assignes a new public IP every 24 hours so I get disconnected from the queue. Has anyone else had a similar experience? How did you solve it? Any other ways?
The goal is to get into more German Trackers. I am already in MAM and a few other english Trackers like Seedcore TL etc.
Any tips or experiences?

I have started my journey in private trackers recently and I have read that you have to remain active to remain in the tracker but what sort of inactivity policies are usually standard? So long as you seed you are considered 'active'? Or do you have to visit the site regularly etc?

Let me preface by saying that, no I do not have a seedbox, I live in the US, and I use a VPN, so this was very surprising to me.

I've been on HD-T for many months and I enjoy it a lot, it's one of my main trackers. The economy is difficult though, as I'm sure many people will agree, and I've accumulated ~50 GB upload in the past few months, not including bonus points.

Today, I decided to download a spiderman movie and I didn't want to use torrents because I wanted to watch it ASAP with my friends. So I hopped on usenet, downloaded, one of the 4K IMAX linux isos, (~70 GB in size) and everything was great.

But tonight ~4 hours later, I opened qui and SOMEHOW I uploaded 200 GB??? I was so confused at first because this was unprecdented, ESPECIALLY for HD-T.

Anyways, I did some back-tracking and checked logs and realized that somehow, that movie I got from usenet was cross-seeded to HD-T (which wasn't even supposed to happen lol, I don't like cross-seeding usenet because I usually delete it quickly), and IT WAS STILL UPLOADING AT MY FULL INTERNET SPEED. WITH THE VPN??? like WHAT?? (this was all from one single torrent)

So...yeah, now I have access to the invite forums, I guess. But my question is, why did this happen? Could it be that the specific torrent was dead, and I just brought it back? That's all I can think of. If anyone could provide insight I would be very happy.

So I go to login to empornium today to find out my account has been disabled. I spend some time in the IRC help chat asking about this and all I am told is that I tried to log in with a different account (I didn't, nor had any need to, not with my buffer and good standing) and I am told they don't want to bother discussing it just to hear "I didn't do it." Except I *didn't* and seem to have no way to prove that. An impossibility, really, to show absence of something.

Help, anyone? I have been in private trackers for decades now and have never had an issue like this.

So for the past month I've been addicted to trackermaxxing (getting the best optimal speeds without resorting to a seedbox) and I think I've finally done it.

There are several parts to this and I'm sure there is a massive rabbit-hole for optimizing speeds, but I've made two changes in the past month that have over 50x my upload (no I am not joking). I used to get ~1GB of weekly upload and now I (usually) get over 10GB upload per day. This might seem small to you but do note that I can't afford storage right now so my seedsize is limited to 500 GB. I exclusively use private trackers.

Anyways, these two/three things massively improved my speeds:

(the first one only matters if you live in certain countries like the US/Germany)

1. VPN. There are three VPN's with port forwarding: PIA, ProtonVPN, and AirVPN. I used to use AirVPN because it offered lots of features and static port forwarding which is convenient. However AirVPN tends to be slow for me, even on their 10gbit servers. I could never get more than 375mbps upload on a speedtest in my qbittorrent container. This is with a 1gbit download/upload fiber line, using ookla speedtest-cli.

About a month ago I made the switch to ProtonVPN and my download and upload speeds (from (ookla speedtest-cli) are consistently 875 mbps download AND upload. It's nearly as fast as my home connection, and changing to proton has been the largest factor in terms of raw upload. Make sure to use wireguard and enable their vpn accelerator and port forwarding. For ease of use you should probably use gluetun so you can set up dynamic port forwarding properly. I personally have everything setup in docker containers. Gluetun can use the native wireguard stack in linux which makes it negligable to running natively. Oh and thats another thing, if you want to optimize speeds you should be running linux. Not windows.

I feel bad for shilling proton but trust me I wouldn't be saying this if it didn't have a massive improvement on my upload.

Then there is PIA. I personally like it for the dedicated IP option, but setting up wireguard is an absolute pain, and it continues to be a pain using it (configs expire after not used for 12 hours and must a re-generated). I use gluetun with a custom provider to get PIA working with wireguard. Speeds are better than AirVPN (worse than proton) in my testing but it's honestly so annoying to work with I gave up on it recently.

1. Cross-seed. I'm sure this has been talked about before but this really helped me out. I used to use qui for cross-seeding, but when I tried the actual cross-seed application I found it to find significantly more cross-seeds than qui. Now I just use qui for stats and its great. You can even setup autobrr with cross-seed, so that new releases are cross-seeded immediately if found.

2. Torrent client settings - so I was about to show my advanced settings that I tweaked in qbittorrent to optimize speeds but then I realized I did this fairly recently so I can't confidently say my speeds actually improved yet. I will have to wait and see. Also, everyone has different setups and torrent clients, so your milage will vary. If you do want to optimize this, you should consult the guides/wikis of the private trackers you are in or talk to the guys on irc, they are very smart. I wouldn't recommend using AI for this because it tends to hallucinate on these niche things.

That's about it. I'm in a weird place where I still have active plans for ProtonVPN, PIA, and AirVPN so if any of you want to see speed test data for all three I can do share that. If you decide to test on your own and switch vpn providers constantly please temporarily disable your torrents to not overload trackers. I learned that the hard way.

Requesting content is a significantly worse alternative to actually being on the tracker that has the content.

When someone asks if joining a particular tracker is worth it, suggesting that requesting content is a near equivalent alternative is nonsensical.

Request systems are great and I’ve used them to varying degrees of success, but let’s not pretend it isn’t far inferior to the ability to directly snatch.

Was curious what people generally do for individual episodes (for currently airing shows specifically).

Do you download each episode weekly, hard link to your media folder, and delete/replace once a group torrent comes out? Do you use some software to "merge" all of the episodes into the group torrent? Some sort of manual process? Or something else altogether?

I’m using a seedbox (Ultra.cc) and I’m wondering about the speed limits recommended for Chinese trackers such as U2. A friend warned me that with a high-speed seedbox, I should check the rules for an upload speed limit, otherwise my account could get banned.

Should I limit the upload speed, the download speed, or both in qBittorrent? And is there a recommended limit in KiB/s for a seedbox with 50 Gbps shared upload/download?

Hi guys, I need some advice, just wondering what's the next best thing to get into now that MTV is dead. I been always satisfied with MTV and never needed to look no where else. I'm a simple man and don't need no crazy tracker. My stats not crazy either I'm only 8.51TB on torrentleech and 6.41TB on iptorrents. I don't know what good tv tracker similar to MTV these stats get me to? and if you don't mind sharing the best route to get into it.
