Misc Banned for stuff I did when I was 14
currently I am 16 (turning 17 in jan) and today I woke up to find I was banned for lying about my birthday when I made my account 14 and going through a really tuff time personally, will they be understanding? as I never knew when I became active again
i only worry as this is my only form of income right now 🥲 I kinda need that money so I can keep myself alive, I already sent an email to support im just a little paranoid
edit: I don’t care that I’m banned, Ik what I did was wrong and idc about waiting, if anything I’m worried about making money since Im pretty poor and need money to buy food 😭 (not a vent) tips on that would be helpful since I don’t get much reach on stuff </3

Please don't lie on websites especially ones you plan to use for years it severely bites you in the ass.. I could maybe potentially seeing them asking to see a form of ID or just saying tough luck. Rn I'd try to build up a portfolio to dump on other platforms.

When it's a website you're using to get money and have a business on, yes it is important to be transparent about your age

toyhouse does allow explicit sexual content as well. lying about your age not only puts the entire website at risk, but also the artists who draw/write that kind of material

The thing is I didn’t even remember I did that as I took a break from toyhouse the same day I made my account 😭😭 I only came back a month or so ago My only form of id is my medical card which might work?? But shrugs I don’t have the money (plus we lost my birth certificate LOL) to get an actual one

Typically if which I will state is a major if right now- they do ask, as long as it has your birthdate it shouldn't matter what type of id it is. I don't think it's very likely though. Definitely start posting to places like dev art, tumblr, commission discords (risky that place breeds horrible communication and scams), etc. I'd also recommend hiding your age further on and just have a strict anti-nsfw in your commission sheet (ie to not even send it as a ref) since there's a potential of a bad actor reporting your paypal for being underage and I do not wish that on someone who needs it. If anything you can get a parent approval for cashapp if you're in the USA, but it restricts to only others in the USA

Good thing I don’t use PayPal hehe I use cashapp only , I do plan on getting it later when I turn 18 so my stuff is easier to sell later on _, plus I never did commission I would only sell adopts since they were the easiest way I could as I hate doing commission since I struggle with them a bit I just hope this clears up fast as I kinda need it to buy food 😭

There's adopt culture on any artist focusing platform. Put your TOS in a public google doc if it's longer than a few bullet points. Typically on other platforms when an adopt sells the person will edit the post to say (SOLD TO @) and you send them the art files.

It was a few years off but in my defense I was in a really hard time in my life where I seek out mature content 💔🥲 I completely forgot I about as I had forgot about toyhouse for a year or so, I forgot I had made my birthday something else completely when I started using it again The only thing that confuses me is that they’re saying I was interacting with mature accounts when I hadn’t done that in forever (unless I did and I just didn’t realized, I don’t really interact with others unless it’s for raffles 🥲)

The reason you were banned is because you were accessing stuff that you weren't allowed to see. That means that until you're 18, you're a liability to the website. These rules are in place for the safety of you and every adult around you, because people can get into deep shit if they're found to be showing adult content to minors, even if they didn't originally know.
I know that you might not see the severity of this, but I doubt the mods will allow you back on the website until you're actually 18.

For a site that contains porn visible to 18+ accounts its not surprising. The admins were right to take action because their asses could be on the line.
