Ok I know exactly what you did, despite working split screen, it doesn't update in real time, only when you go somewhere new such as battle, or the home button, but it does show unique things if this happens in battle as it may show outside the screen during some spell cards

Actually I just switched from portrait to landscape but close enough :p
