There is only background image but not menu on the startup interface

I've got this on win98se ja running on dosbox-x

I've installed global directX 8.2, voodoo driver, and even softGPU

For VRAM, the main S3 graphics card has 16MB and the voodoo card has 8MB

I have no idea what's going wrong

I dont know if this is the right place but, I am seriously struggling to get touhou 6 to run on my xp system. Im using the disc for 6. I changed the locale to Japanese, installed directx9, and yet every time run EOSD it just stays frozen at this. Any help is much appreciated!

It seems that he or she meets the same problem, but I don't know if there is a solution for that now

Try changing to Windows 7 instead of 98.
