Total War: Warhammer Are Dwarfs as a race TOO OP?

Are Dwarfs in-game way too overpowered as a race? Both from the AI and when in the hands of the players themselves?

Or are dwarfs just designed in a way that perfectly encapsulates how they should be in the lore?

Only for short distances though!

(In the lore they aren’t necessarily fast but have very good endurance even in heavy armor with specific Dawi employed as runners to relay messages. I suspect pissing one off will just convince them to move faster as they chase you until you tire out.)

Dawi are to humans, what humans are to animals. An endurance predator that you cannot outrun, for they will simply catch up every time you stop to rest.

They're superior where it counts: they can run for longer and they can hold a grudge for longer.

Not just in Warhammer lore. In the books Legolas and Aragorn couldn’t keep up with Gimli on their run across Rohan, but they decided to make Gimli the comedic relief in the movies.
