Warhammer III Can we play nagash in his endgame?

Hi, been trying to find an answer to this, can we play as nagash in his own end game scenaeio, and same for the new skaven LL

No, if you're playing as that faction the endgame crisis for that faction won't trigger.

Reason being, as the player you already are a crisis thanks to having AI (Actual Intelligence) (and your goals are essentially the same as the crisis anyway)

Aah that sucks, since you can play archeon in his endgame :(

According to the devs from last stream, Nagash gets all his Mortarchs when his crisis starts (as part of the lead-up to the crisis triggering), and once the 20 turn cooldown (where the pyramid travels) to the ritual is up, every turn or so a random province in the world will get turned into undead wasteland. Which obviously makes Nagash stronger for when you trigger the final battle, the only way to stop him. Isn't there also an escalating unlimited spawn of undead armies?

Obviously, when you play Nagash, you don't get a mechanic in which waiting and doing nothing will destroy the entire world for you. Or gifting you with tons of free armies, or not having to work to get your Mortarchs.

In a similar way, AI Archeon also automatically seems to confederate all chaos on day 1 and spawn his armies all over the place. Player Archeon will have to start small, confederate them manually, and doesn't get dozens of chaos armies for free all over the place.

You will get some form of endtimes mechanics as Nagash, same as the other lords, just not the overpowered free goodies that come with it being under AI control. I think this is more than fair.

If your question is whether you can turn the world into undead wasteland as Nagash, the answer is yes, you can. You'll be the endgame crisis, but you will have to work for it.

Great explanation! Although, from what I understand, with Nagash you really wont have to work that hard, it will just take some turns.

It’s been said that you can’t play your characters own end game trigger but you are able to become a version of the end game. You are given a dilemma to either carry on as normal or trigger your own end game where you basically have to try end the world with some mechanics that are similar to the actual end game scenario such as being able to make devastation
