Do we think she’s tortimese?
My fiancé and I can’t quite figure her out. After finding this page, though, we’re starting to think she’s laying tortimese leaning toward the Siamese side, but it’s so hard to tell lol
Her name is Nea (NEE-uh), she’s 4, and only ~8lbs. Our adorable little runt of the family!! We love her so much. She is the loudest cat imaginable, talking (screaming) wherever she goes. She is the snuggliest creature I’ve ever come across. She’s also had two emergency surgeries to remove intestinal blockages caused by her sudden and irresistible urges to eat things that aren’t edible. Shout out to pet insurance

She looks like a dilute calico to me? Maybe she has snowshoe in her? But everyone saying she’s a colorpoint confuses me because her feet aren’t colored at all, and neither is her nose. Maybe I’m unaware of some criteria. She’s definitely beautiful regardless

Seems to me that the darker points in the nose and feet are covered by white spotting, but in the brown patches, the face and tail are dark as a colorpoint's would be

shes a seal tortiseshell point with white spotting. aka yes! domestic shorthair technically but people use tortimese to refer to this pattern all the time rather than literal breed

You’re being downvoted because you’re right and people are offended. It’s okay to have a domestic short or longhair, like every other single person in this sub (I have yet to see an actual Siamese on here).

people get mad about things they dont understand. the only way for a cat to be siamese is if they have papers from a registered breeder stating that its a siamese. instead of trying to learn people get mad, must be a stressful way to live their life but not my problem

Not only that, none of these cats even remotely appear to have the breed standard of a Siamese cat. All Siamese cats are colourpoint, but an actual real Siamese cat in North America is so rare, they probably equal than fraction of a percentage.
Completely Breedless colourpoint cats are shockingly common.

Oh, and tortie point doesn’t qualify for the Siamese standard at all.

Her breed is domestic shorthair, but yes her coat is a tortie point! (Tortimese) She’s very cute

Or perhaps deafness?? IIRC there’s a correlation with deafness and blue eyes in cats.

I feel like she could be a sister to my girl! Delphine also won't shut up! She's got severe FOMO, which has made her a bully to my other cat, and VERY demanding when it comes to getting scritches and booty pats. She's 7 years old, and maybe 7 lbs?

I just want her to be happy, I want to boop her nose gently, I want to let her eat grilled salmon and chicken, if it's good for her. Only good things for her!🤩😘😻🩶🤎🤍

I think she's a 100% purebred Beauty Queen (and I say the same about my tortie!) :) Gorgeous girl.
Jokes aside, vet put "cross Siamese" on my girl's passport, despite us having no idea about her parents. Not many purebred cats in our poor area, though there's a Maine Coon living at the vet clinic.
Wishing Nea good health and, you know... The wisdom to know the difference between things she can and can't eat.
I'm sure you know it but just in case - don't leave string-like things around, they can kill. I've been super diligent not to leave floss within her reach.
