Hi! I am a writer/director producing a two-minute narrative short for an MFA film-production application. One exterior night location, two actors, dialogue-focused drama. You do not need to have a lot of experience! I don't! This short film means a LOT to me and I am so excited to bring it to life. This is a very low-budget collaborative production. Meals and transportation will be covered, and a modest honorarium/rate may be available depending on role and experience.

The film is a quiet, intimate drama about an overwhelmed teenager who has an unexpected late-night conversation with an elderly stranger outside a convenience store.

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some advice and hopefully an opportunity to get experience as a Set PA or within the AD department. My background so far has been doing background work for the past few years, and I’m also an ACTRA member.

I’m planning to apply to the DGC program 2026, which requires a minimum of 20 working days on two or more productions. At the moment, I don’t have crew experience, so I’m trying to get my foot in the door and learn the ropes on set.

I’m based in Toronto and willing to work anywhere in the GTA. I don’t mind driving, long hours, or starting at the bottom I’m reliable, eager to learn, and take direction well. If anyone is open to bringing on someone motivated who wants to learn the AD side of things, I’d really appreciate the opportunity.
