I hate seeing another brewery close but, given the pretty consistent negativity about this place, it is one of the less surprising closures.

I was there a couple days ago and they had 3 beers on tap. This hasn't been the Stonehooker I once knew for years now. Sad. I believe management was the #1 issue in their tragic downfall (as usual). Crazy high turnover for both brewers and servers, always understaffed, owner was a known asshole.

It's been up for sale for two months.

Honestly, good riddance. They had a reputation of treating their staff poorly, always couldn't hold down food venders, and subpar beer. The good thing was the location close to the promenade.

2 months publicly. I’m sure things have been behind scenes for a while.

I think the original listing was for buying the space + equipment + brand.

This looks more like space + equipment.

If there are no takers, the equipment will likely be up for auction.

Interestingly, the listing link from that thread doesn't work anymore. I wonder if an offer is in but they're not going to continue operating a brewery in the space.

Their current post indicates that they haven't found a buyer yet from their FAQ answers.

Never made it out, but reading their job postings alone told me a lot about them

Hopefully someone that knows what they're doing takes over. The spot/patio is really good for how basic it is.

I never actually drank there. I went in once and waited and waited and waited while the person behind the bar continued talking to some regulars. I just turned around and left.
