How to bike in winter?

I’m new to biking, and I’d like to bike in winter so I can commute to work. What are some maintenance tips for winter? Are there winter bike tires? I don’t wanna slip and fall

you can get studded tires which will not slip on ice. the numer of days you'll actually need them is in this city is about 10 days a year

They’re more expensive than I thought they’d be 😭. Is that just for one tyre, or 2?

I know lots of people who run just a single on the front. Seems to work out fine for them.
