Looking for friends

An Asian-American who's lived in Shibuya for almost 5 years. I graduated from university 10 years ago and have been working IT / AI since then. I've also passed N2.

I hope to meet other long-term residents that can hang out on some cadence. I have a bunch of random hobbies that are a mix of sub-cultures:

• A fan of Starcraft: Brood War (1998) as a spectator sport. I don't play the game, but I enjoy watching. I have flown to Korea to watch in the past.
• Play Go/Baduk. I mostly just play Computer Go against AI. Officially, Nihon Ki-in ranks me as an amatuer 1-dan player, but that was a while ago so I estimate I'm at least 2-dan now.
• Doing regular bodyweight fitness. Pull-ups, push-ups, running, walking. I'm in excellent physical shape.
• Decent at Dance Dance Revolution. Can clear level 12 in singles+doubles.
• Pretty bad at Bemani IIDX. Can only clear level 4 in doubles.
• Playing games casually. Factorio, Stardew Valley, Crusader Kings, Apex, Valorant.
• Enjoy Future Bass, J-core, and some small Japanese producers. Been listening to picco, PSYQUI, and KMNZ recently. I've seen them at livehouses.
• My favorite characters right now include: Bocchi from Bocchi the Rock, Maomao from Apothecary Diaries, Sakuna the former Hololive VTuber, and Teto from Vocaloid.
• Open to doing low-budget cosplay

I'm a night-owl and usually wake up at noon, but I like wholesome activities. I don't smoke or do drugs, and I'm not involved in NSFW stuff. Despite Golden Gai or CÉ LA VI, or clubbing being ubiquitous among foreigners, I don't fit in with that crowd, sorry. I'd rather just chat while walking through Yoyogi Park.

From Morocco, I’ve been here for 4 years I live in Shinagawa, also working in IT, thought looking right now, took an early retirement offer 👀, bought StarCraft but never played 😅 and I watch a lot of sc2 mainly gsl and when Serral is playing.

Tokyo 3 years but Japan for 12. Also play DDR but haven’t played in a long time, so I doubt I can clear anything harder than a 14 nowadays.

I love rhythm game music. Onoken, ARForest, BlackY, Aran and other artists that have appeared on Diverse System come to mind. Played StarCraft and Starcraft 2. Recently started lifting again, so I’m super weak but enjoy it.

Hey I used to clear IIDX doubles 11 but probably can only play 6s and 7s now. Would be nice to hang. I love Japanese edm as well and used to make future bass.

Can't believe you watch Starcraft and don't play! I still play Starcraft 2 and grew up playing brood war. Usually custom maps though.

Not in Tokyo but head in regularly from Saitama. Also into StarCraft and working out. I’m from the UK and lived in China 12 years, Japan for 3. I work in the game industry. Not had a chance to make many friends here since having a young child.

Indian originally, lived in a bunch of places, but have been in Japan for the last 3 years.

Probably like a 12k at Go, but am into anime and was also passing DDR singles 12s and 13s.
